Mamamoo rabbit hole is deep. You could try their debut song... Mr Ambiguous... Or maybe one of the other 3 songs that this was a part of - Starry Night, Gogobebe, Wind Flower. (They had a project called 4S4C - 4 seasons, 4 Colors. over a year, they released 4 albums, with each album representing a color, a season and a stage in the relationship. Egotistic was Red, and the Passionate stage and Summer. They also had a song that basically tied it all together, called Paint Me. Also, Each album featured a solo song from each of the girls (This is why the rabbit hole is deep, They all have released multiple solo albums of various sizes beyond the 10 years of group songs/albums)

Ditto to Genera's comment. Mamamoo is one of the deepest rabbit holes in kpop. They've been around for 10 years and have many hit songs, a couple dozen group, solo and subunit albums, and there are literally hundreds of hours of fantastic live performances available on yt. As any moomoo (Mamamoo fan) will tell you, Mamamoo is best when they're live because of their amazing, always live vocals, riveting stage presence and irresistible bff team chemistry. Mamamoo are considered to be the female vocal gold standard among kpop groups and they have one of the most diverse discographies you'll ever encounter. They seem to be able to sing any genre with ease and authenticity and their main rapper can rap over any beat and style of music. The visuals in the Egotistic MV are overwhelming on first view but the sexiness isn't just for looks. Egotistic was title track #2 in Mamamoo's year long four album series 4 Season 4 Color. Each title track explored a stage of love as well as a season and color and, as Genera mentioned, Egotistic was the Summer/Red/Passion song. In the MV each member expresses her own take on Red & Passion via her wardrobe, props and actions so, for example, the jaguar represents Wild & Fierce to Hwasa while Solar's revealing outfits, come hither looks into the camera and pole dancing represent Sexy, Provocative and Liberated and Wheein's low rider-esque car, matador outfit, tattoos and arsonist tendencies = badass bitch on wheels who takes revenge on the egotistic jerk by burning his guitar in effigy and dancing in the flames lol. There's more to it but you get the idea. Sexiness is just one of the many moods of Mamamoo and they're equally capable of being silly, swaggy, introspective or emotional in other MVs to suit the vibe and concept of the song. I see you've also reacted to their biggest hit, Hip. Before you dive further into their discography you might want to check out the two main sampler packages of their live singing: the 15 minute medley of original songs from 2014-20 on Dingo's Killing Voice series and the Immortal Songs Medley, an 11 minute medley of covers they had performed on the singing competition tv show Immortal Songs 2, which was filmed at a MMM concert in 2017. As great as this song already is, they actually managed to make a better version of this song later on. They've got an album called I Say Mamamoo : the best which has remakes or stage versions of their hit songs plus one new song. It's worth listening to after hearing the originals.

If you’re willing to give it the time (15 min), the best overall introduction is their Killing Voice or their medley from the Hwasa Show in 2022 (Hwasa is one of their members 😊). Song-wise, my personal favorite is Paint Me, but there are 2 different versions of that song and I prefer the version from their 4 Seasons Concert, which is also on their I Say Mamamoo The Best anthology album. If you want an introduction to their humorous side then “1cm Taller than You” is great. Their most iconic song is probably HIP or Starry Night, and those 2 are both included in the Killing Voice medley if you check that out. Another recommendation I have is that you check out some of their live performances (both medleys I recommended are live so that’s good) because Mamamoo is one of those few artists that truly sound better live than on the studio track. If you really like comparing what they’ve done to a song, I’d actually recommend listening to one of the songs they covered and then their version of it. They always manage to make it sound like their own song. Their covers from Immortal Songs 2 like Backwoods and Wonderful Confession won them the show, and their cover of AOA’s Good Luck on Queendom mixed Reggae, Hip Hop, Drill, Jazz, R&B, and Pop. It sounds really chaotic but it came together sooo well. And chaotic but super talented is kind of Mamamoo in a nutshell.
