Hey saabunleashed im a big fan of the channel, I ended up buying this mekede m6 pro plus because of this review. The mekede headunit is a FANTASTIC unit I love it, but I ran into an issue and want to make it known to everyone. The screen it self scratches pretty easily, there is a 'gesture' you can do which is swiping with 2 fingers horizontally across the screen and it will either skip to next track or swipe back to the previous track. By doing this I left a pretty scratch on the unit, I didnt swipe all that hard but I guess I had something on my fingers that made it scratch. Very unfortunate but thats not the only problem. I had found thru some research a company called "ScreenProTech". They advertise a screen protector that is "HD clear" and hides small scratches. I get it in the mail and I installed it on the mekede. It did a great job hiding the scratches and was definitely super clear unlike others that I had tryed. The problem became announced after a few hours of usage with the screen protector on the mekede I noticed a yellow spot near the top of the protector and thought that I maybe got a finger print or some dirt was left on the protector. Didnt think much of it, so I let it be. And then some more time went by and now my entire screen is riddled with these yellow dots EVERYWHERE!! I removed the screen protector from the unit and the yellow dots were burned into the display. I tryed downloading screen burn apps that are supposed to fix it, It didnt work. I tryed just clenaing the display thinking maybe its just finger prints on the display? Nope, didnt fix it. I even tryed a factory reset and lost ALL my app. For it not do anything. Now im stuck with this headunit that is just terrible to look at and now I have to try and get in contact with both mekede and screenprotech. If I had just lived with the scratches I would have a perfectly functional unit. But now I fucked my self all because of some small scratches. Very very upset.

I've also recently bought this unit from Mekede with the 360 camera option. I've had issues with the 360 install and Mekede support has been fantastic. They sent over a software update and all working brilliantly now. Thanks for the videos as they really helped me when looking at Android units. Keep up the good work!

8:51 I have a tip for this radio. I ordered this one based on the video and I really like it. I am able to install navi radio. The tip is -- when I receive the unit the touch was off and it was hard to work the unit. The touch was opposite of where you touched. USE A MOUSE TO GET TO THE SETTINGS TO ALIGN THE TOUCH.

I brought the M6 8gb 128gb version (oled, non 4k) about 6 weeks or so ago and very happy with it. Screen is bright, no lag and the dvr records both front and rear as well as working as a dash cam. Takes a little bit of setting up to get it how you want it and there is the occasional glitch but pleased with my purchase

Thanks for the video. 4/64GB are pretty much the today's standard for an instant boot without a cold boot every time when you turn the ACC on. Tried a few MIC head unit, anything below 3GB was pretty laggy and instable. Just my 2 cents.

I love the fact that it has a selection of digital outputs. As you mention this is probably the purest way to get the best audio out of this head unit. Now if I could only find an amplifier that has digital inputs and analog outputs to feed the rest of the system. Everything I see is analog in and analog out. I guess we have to wait for that to come out next.

I just received my unit today. It is very lovely and fast. I did have a problem out of the box. First it didn't come with the power harness. Next the touch was flipped and reverse (what fun that was 🥴). To HELP ANYONE WITH THIS, SIMPLY CONNECT A USB MOUSE AND CHANGE THE SETTINGS. Plus If you get the pro model it DOES NOT come with the hdmi. After all that this is a very nice unit

I’ve read the Teyes is more integrated with features but is more locked down and wants subscriptions to unlock features. Like tbey will only connect to their accessories like only their ODB2 dongle. So you pay more for the accessories or unlocking features. And I read that Mekede is more open. Can connect more 3rd party accessories and less trying to nickel and dime you for software licenses. Just what I read. YMMV. From what I’ve read the are all the same hardware. But they have their own software. You can apparently flash other brands (e.g. Mekede/Navifly) software onto a Teyes but not Teyes SW onto a Mekede HW

I noticed that many of the android units offer DAB option which only works in non-US markets but they don't offer either satelite or HD tuners that are present in the US. Have you come across any android units that offer at least HD radio? I know the brand names that are not android units i.e. kenwood alpine pioneer do offer them in the US.

I remember having a nightmare experience with an Mekede unit I've used in the past. It took over 3 minutes to start up, no hot boot or anything like that. Loading Spotify took ages and sometimes the system even killed it during navigation because of the lack of memory. Eventually I just installed head unit reloaded to use android auto. Glad to see they actually have good quality units as well. Thank you for another great video!

@SaabUnleased Great Review...👍 Because of your video since I watched it in Jan 2023, I had made up my mind to get this unit as an upgrade to my 2014 Polo but Mekede were not able to supply to India due to customs department problems they must have encountered with other buyers for direct shipping. Now, I managed to get M7 Pro and have just received thru a shipping company. I am just waiting for the front camera ordered separately which wud fit in the front logo of VW and look like OEM fitment, same for the rear (I will try). I ordered 2 + 2 Hesida Triangular shaped camera (one extra set as back up). My installtion may happen in next 7-10 days time, I believe..!!! Now, if possible, please share how the settings for the DVR for both front and rear are done..!!! I have got 12 GB RAM, 256GB ROM, M7 Pro + DVR + 360⁰ Parking Camera setup + TPMS with all options. Please try to help me with your assistance related to DVR settings, since I wud be having extra cameras, please do share how to connect two rear cameras to the Head Unit. 🙏🏻😊

Whatever the brand or no brand HU you buy, it must have a DSP chip, that makes sure you get excellent sound quality and good bass. I bought a unit with 2GB ram for about $90 (converted to USD) and it sound amazing. B9550 is my HU model with ADU1701 DSP chip.

I'm torn between a Mekede and a Teyes at the moment for my 2012 Ford Fiesta. I can get an 8gb Mekede for about $170 AUD (£95) less than the 4gb Teyes (when adding on the reverse camera) and both have the fascia kits for my car. Which would you go for having had both?

If you can order just the dash trim by itself for your vehicle, the CC3 can be bought as a standalone unit. And as mentioned in the video, all of the 9-10" units that have this trapezoid shape all use the same standard mounting holes. I personally have owned the CC3 for almost a year and its a great unit for my 2011 Santa Fe, and its already had two major firmware updates, one of which added a few new launchers. I also use two non-Teyes branded accessories that work fine with the unit, a USB TPMS system and a USB front camera/DVR system that works with its own app.

Hi Well made video. Did you know if the Mekede M6Pro Plus have a menu to adjust the reverse guidance lines. On others units the menu appears when you press the lines. It allow you to adjust the width, angle, centering etc. Thanks

I found that setting within "factory settings" then click on "car model" and you should see if u scroll down you'll see reverse tracking line or something like, theres like 2 or 3 options for the back up lines. Hope this helps.

It's more than just the screen, the sound processor and the UI is better too. With regards to maps and display in general, the DPI settings ensure that everything is sharp, yet readable so it's all good

bought the M800s 8gb ram 256g storage and 8 core and great unit but the downside is there is no provision to turn the unit off when doing servicing and as for getting help from Mekede is absolutely hopeless ....had a problem with canbus on steering wheel settings and on this unit the can settings do not work and so does changing buttons in color ..but unit seems fast sound quality is fantastic but just need to turnoff unit when doing servicing

I received this unit 2 months ago, the product itself is fantastic however…. I ordered the DAB antenna, Rear 1080p camera and the DVR camera to which I’m still waiting for as they firstly forgot to pack the accessories, then they sent the DAB and Camera which I haven’t yet received and they still forgot to dispatch the DVR! Now I’m still waiting for the accessories. The people at the manufacture are friendly however I want the items that I’ve paid for!!

Yes you can turn off the robot. The requirement of the SWC adaptor depends on your car model. If the SWC relies on CANbus, then you will need an adaptor. If they use resistive signals, then you won't

WARNING TO EVERYBODY! Just got my head unit and it DOES NOT have built in HDMI input 😞 Seller sells a $12 add-on that is a USB dongle for HDMI input. Not sure if it works exactly the same, but I have a feeling it has higher latency. I didn't add it to my cart originally because it looked exactly like what it is...an external USB dongle with an HDMI port. Not the internal HDMI port on the head unit. Not sure adding the dongle with the head unit to the cart would have made a difference. Great Video and I have taken the plunge and bought one on the strength of it...can you help with a couple of questions...this is going into a Zafira B so sadly no specific main loom canbus decoder etc, is the main loom that comes with the unit a standard 16 pin to ISO adapter (the brief glimpse on your video was not to clear) or will I need to get a seperate one and also I assume I will need to get the Connects2 steering wheel adapter for the Zafira B to make use of the steering wheel controls

The ISO loom will only come with it if you bought it using the link in the video description. Also you will need the a Canbus decoder for your car if the wheel controls require one

Do they make one with a USB port? I'm looking to attach a multi-terabyte HD. I know the Joying has two ports (one OTG) but they say it only supports 500GB. I'm wondering why? Most android devices can access very large USB drives via usb/OTG.

@@SaabUnleashed Ah yes, sorry. Missed the cable part that splits into 3 USB ports. Do you have any videos that cover voice assistant control in the android head unit world? I'm coming from a Kenwood/Android Auto setup where I'm using an iDatalink Maestro to be able to trigger the voice assistant from the steering wheel/canbus. From what I've seen, it seems like a weak area on these head units (some seem to have their own proprietary voice assistants) , but maybe I'm missing something just like the USB ports.

Hi... I am from India and have installed Mekede M7 Pro Android 13 Head Unit with ADAS, 360 camera, TPMS and some more features. All the features seem to be working good except the Dynamic Trajectory Lines not getting activated, they remain static. We have checked the readings on the CAN-H & CAN-L connectors, readings seem to be also Ok (3.6 Volts). Can you suggest a solution for this problem? Does it require coding for releasing steering canbus data? The car is 07/2014 VW Polo (6R) Highline Petrol 1.2 model with BCM 6R0937087R & PQ25 (Canbus) If possible, try to help.

Hey mate, I bought an Atoto S8 pro for my old Jeep Cherokee and I love it, it works great. I bought a no name unit for my wife’s Kia Sportage for Christmas and sadly, it’s crap! The screen definition is terrible and because it mounts at a slight angle in the dash, it’s almost impossible to see! It’s also incredibly slow and connected with the phone is dodgy at best. The only good thing is that it comes with a nice bezel and fits well. Can you recommend a better model I can buy to replace it with please?

Would love to have seen how CarPlay and android auto is in this video. With the high resolution, is there rows of 5 instead of 4 in CarPlay? Does android auto run in full screen or split screen mode? I see android auto is wired only? Such a shame if that’s the case.

@saabunleashed does this mekede headunit allow the use of a playstion controller via usb, for example the ps4 controller has a touchpad that acts as a mouse and on my eonon, im able to plug in my controller via the provided usb port and it allows me to use a controller on the headunit it self, not just for games.
