Initial Review on Mekede M6 Pro / Plus head unit android Auto. Alternative to Teyes CC3?

How you liking it so far? Trying to decide between this and the Teyes CC3 for my Ford Fiesta. I'm leaning towards this as its a bit more customisable and a bit cheaper too but still undecided

I like this more compared to teyes cc3. As a build quality alone, mekede m6 Pro hands down better with metal housing, and properly built in fans. I'm noticing that cc3 had a lot of their own side products, if you want to buy cc3, you had to buy a set of all of it to make it fully functional. I did recommend this over cc3 👍

@baem90 Thanks for the feedback, I think I'm going to get this one now as I agree, you can mix and match the software and accessories and you're not tied in to Teyes system. How is the microphone for calling on Bluetooth?

@@Gary-li7ib to my surprise, there is no issue on the microphone! Im using built in mic. And i can double confirm; my sister car also using this, and also having no issue on the mic 👍

have you tried using the carplay function for this headunit? I have always had issues with zlink for carplay. The volume of music is always alot louder than volume of calls.

How are you finding the 4gb ram so far? I was thinking of getting the 6 or 8gb version but I think it would be overkill for me as I only really want to use google maps and spotify/soundcloud and have a DVR/Rear Camera setup. Not really interested in games, KZbin or Netflix or browsing really. Think 4gb is enough?

4gb of ram is good enough for me, smooth and no lag. 64Gb of storage is more than enough, so far i installed, youtube vanced, spotify, netflix, waze, Dvr apps and i think there is much more storage left. so, over 4gb ram and 64gb of storage is overkill for headunit in my opinion.

i have ordered mekede m6 pro plus. but when ordering I didn't know that the HDMI socket and 360 camera features weren't available directly on the head unit. and it has to pre-order with the seller,, so I don't get both ,, I'm very sorry for this.

Hi, has anyone got experience with the 360 camera working successfully on a big car? I was going to get the Teyes cc3 but this is looking the better buy. But the teyes 360 camera has been shown working well on vans etc. Does anyone have comparable experience with the Mekede?

Hi, as shown on their site, they used dsp:akm 7738, you caught my attention on this. But i didn't know how to confirm it. The sound quality is good to my ear. If you has a method that i could try to verify the akm sound, I'll be glad to test it out 👍

hi, my camera does not have night vision, but its works well on dark, not better. yes its record on loop. on reverse camera, im using 70mai camera, previously its recorded back video, since im using android headunit, im not sure there is capability to record. im not yet looking for the solution as for now.

The difference is M6 Pro : had Oled screen (which is already good display 👍) M6 Pro Plus : they change to 2k display with additional little bit inch bigger (9.5inch and also 10.36inch display)

Will this unit work if I just buy the mekede unit and use the teyes harness that teyes sent me?. I have an 2015 Honda accord and mekede doesn't make one specific for my car but teyes did and bought that but want to try the mekede. Will this work?

I think it will work just fine. 😀 All this headunit are basically same 'FYT hardware unit' but each of them develop their own software.

Yes, but you need to purchase their 360 camera, they will put some chip inside the headunit to support 360.
