You're so right about little kids wanting to be like you and do chores with you! I remember being about 5, getting out of bed one night and seeing my mom doing the dishes. So I went back downstairs and started "washing the dishes" on my play kitchen set in the playroom lol. Once my daughter gets to the toddler age I plan on buying her these kinds of toys too!!

My daughter is 1 yr old. I got her a play kitchen & she loves playing there. Also baby books, she loves brown bear & hungry caterpillar 🐛. I also got her play food. She loves playing with the items. She doesn’t quite get the concept yet but she enjoys opening all the cabinets, and pushing buttons, the texture of the play food.

we have loved the skip hop activity center. It converts to a table and you get little chairs separate for it! seriously one of our favorite baby purchases! We got it when our little one was about 6 months old and she now is almost 2 and uses it as a table for coloring, stacking blocks and so much more. Plus it has a relatively small footprint so when we lived in a tiny apartment it was easy to move around and store.

Grandparents Bought the Tonie for my 1 year old last Christmas (she was 6months) and since it has continued to be a irreplaceable staple for our morning and night time routines. She LOVES nursery rhymes (The Wheels on the bus, If your happy and you know it, etc) and music in general so she runs to pop on her favorite Tonie every morning! At night she loves listening to Peter Rabbit as she drifts to sleep. Perfect alternative to Alexa or too much screen time. She also loves loves loves the tonies that she has that correlate with the story books and bonus great break from listening to mom read all day (different voices/ inflections are a great way to keep your little interested in reading) 100% highly recommend!

The Toniebox is the best thing ever. Got it for my stepson when I first met him at just over a year old and he's still using it every day now at three years old. Also makes bed time easier, as he is excited about listening to a story in bed and fights the bedtime routine a lot less knowing he gets to choose what he wants to listen to. We just come back and turn it off after 10-15 minutes and rarely have to deal with a tantrum. Although I will admit he's gotten up and turned it back on a few times in the past 😂

Omg Dyson vaccum, my son who just turned 2 in October got a kids Dyson vaccum last year for Christmas and he LOVES IT!! I swear it's the only toy he has which he has constantly played with everyday, I highly recommend it as well!

My 16 month old is actually OBSESSED with our full size vacuum. As soon as he wakes (at 5am might I add) he immediately runs to the cupboard where we store the vacuum and wants us to get it out. If we switch it on he actually runs it along the ground and picks up the it’s bits 😅 blessing in disguise I guess!

We love the Toniebox!! Indestructible, and has some really fun characters. My son loves sesame street and Elmo and they have Elmo and cookie monster. They also have some that you can record your voice!! So his grandparents recorded reading a story bc they are states away. Ok I sound like a spokesperson, we just love the Toniebox 😂

I love all of these. I have about all of them. I have a tent but a small house we turned half of her closet into a reading nook for her. In the closet a pack and play mattress is on the floor and we even hung up pictures in there. She's getting a kitchen set for Christmas with accessories and a water table for next summer.

I think the gift ideas are wonderful but the outfits that she put up in the beginning babies outgrow these things very quickly and to spend $40 and $30 on a single outfit I just can't see myself doing it
