Speaking of hockey, I remember I had a good birthday when I was younger. Nyjah had been sitting in my lap when he surprised me with hockey tickets. Him and I both like how big the men are and how quickly they glide on ice. It reminds me of my hands gliding over nyjah's oiled up back when I give him massages. When we got to the game one of the players recognized me from school. We did stuff together but nyjah was cool with it. Even though Jah and I are just friends so it doesn't even matter but he's just so secure and I really respect that. Anyway, after the game I was tired and Jah carried me up to my room and tripped onto my bed. And since he was already there he decided that's where he was staying. It was a good birthday

Call it an educated guess, but I'm pretty sure the look of the footage is achieved by projecting the final edit and filming that. I've done the same thing in the past and the results were similar.

Even with major corporate sponsors at shit like the x games or non skate related ads in transworld magazine in the 90’s for example, skateboarding wasn’t as accessible and interesting to the general public as it is now. As long as there’s still a majority of the community that remain independent and embrace the creative and more raw aspects of skating, we can afford to have the Andy Mac’s and jager eatons blasting off on a cereal box or some shit.

I watched Hockey X not long after coming off watching dead mall videos and doing my rounds of looking at urban decay on google maps and imo the soundtrack in Caleb's part really captured that juxtaposition of hopefulness and emptiness that i imagine these affected areas of USA would be like. Not many videographers can capture this and it is incredibly special to see.
