We have been unable to take the scooter this scooter be 40 lbs lighter and

Wow 0:45 The led acid battery box is amazing done, cant belive you guys didnt use that shape to a lithium ion battery pack, could have a great range

The battery pack weighs 45lbs. Also, Gigabyke stated on another video that their controller is only rated for the 20mph top speed and anything above that would void the warranty and potentially burn out the controller quicker. Could you comment on that?

I have been riding my bike for a year now with the same mods (more actually) and I can get it to go 23mph with no affect on the components.

I would like to see this bike ride at 26-28 mpg because I have made these exact same modifications. You can see the video I made about a year ago about it and, I even went a step further and went with a 52v lithium battery over the stock 48v and also did a shunt mod to increase the amps to the motor and while, yes, I can make the speedometer say 27mph by pulling the throttle with the bike on the stand, when I actually ride it, I can't go faster than 23mph.

Gigabyke Tips and Tricks By Anekin you are mostly correct. You can benefit from a higher voltage battery though. The controller does regulate the amperage but not the voltage. The controller will burn up and fail if you go over the voltage. Most 48c controller have 63v capacitors installed. My 52v volt battey is 58v fresh off the charger. Even a 48v lead battery is actually about 54v when it's fresh off the charger

As a person who has tried this bike using the stock batteries, a 54v lead and a 52v lithium, I can definitively say that a voltage increase absolutely does affect performance. I weight 250lbs and could only got 18mph with the stock batteries. The higher voltage (and heavier) 54v lead, increased my speed to the 22-23 range, and the lithium was about the same but lighter. Also, I did subscribe to your channel.

The throttle on this scooter maximizes the speed limit between 40 - 50 mph.

They're almost the same this bike has a bigger motor Urban s it's motor is 350 continuous with a peek at 500. This motor is I think 500 continuous with a peek at 750

I upgraded mine to a Lunacycle triangle battery. It fits in the battery compartment perfectly after you remove the rear plug from the bike,.

original battery is actually 38 pounds so in reality they're saving 28 pounds if telling the truth about weight of new battery

These are terrible. No manufacturer worth their salt deals with lead acid! I have a NIU NQI Sport- biggest manufacturer of electric motorbikes/mopeds in the world. It has Panasonic lithium 3 year warranty battery and 2 years on the bike. 3modes 12,22,30 mph. Brake regen, cruise control, Bosch motor, pulls 269kg range 44mile. These are just churned out ten a penny. Don’t waste money - lead acid pfft….

The difference being that you don't need a license to ride these. They are classed as an electric bicycle (at least here in the UK). You can ride these without a helmet, on cycle paths, through parks, along the river etc...
