I can't exactly explain pero ang nangyari noon sa laptop ko, dead battery na siya and I can't operate it, but once I removed the dead battery and plugged my laptop on my charger it worked. So, to think na detachable yung battery, gives it an impression to me na, whatever happens to the battery, you can still use your unit without any issue aside from a dead or malfunctioning battery.

I would say pro ang removable battery para sakin ah. Why? Simple kapag heavy gaming kana, you will not use your battery but just plugging the lapotp direct sa outlet, removes the battery drain issue in the long run. Kung trip mo naksaksak batt mo habang naglalaro eh di go.

Ang disadvantage lang nito compared sa ibang rtx 3060 laptop tulad ng helios 300. This is a 105watts gpu laptop while yung sa helios 300 ay 130watts gpu laptop. Kumpara sa gaming mas mabilis parin ang helios kesa dito.

Advantage of removable battery is you don't overcharge it when your laptop is on plug, it will prolong the lifespan of the battery, just remove the battery when it's 100% and just play for a longer period of time without worrying about overcharging the battery.

About bakit sineparate ang battery. I don't think kay Gigabyte yan. May aftershock (Singapore brand) gaming laptop ako, RTX 3060. Same exact ports and location ng ports, pati location ng battery - buong chassis parehong pareho. Naparesearch tuloy. Marami sila na magkakamukha ang design, most of them, galing sa Tongfang laptops, and lahat sila ay budget gaming laptops. So for that unit, please don't ask Gigabyte about the design. Parang reseller lang din from Tongfang notebooks, branded by their own name. Pati gaming center, katulad sa gaming center ng sa akin kahit na magkaiba sila ng brand.

You can't disable nvidia optimus but I think there is a way of bypassing it by connecting it to the monitor using the type c hdmi to the external monitor

If you are planning to connect an external monitor then use the type C port at the back. I have this laptop and tried both type C and miniDP. MiniDP gives lower framerates because of nvidia optimus. Type C on the other hand bypasses it and gives you a good framerate

Hello po, nagplaplano na rin po ako bumili ng gaming laptop sa inyo, pinamimilian ko po yung Acer predator helios 300, gigabyte g5, and msi gf65thin, lahat po sila rtx 3060. Gusto ko po yung itsura ng Helios but yung G5 po kasi is 240hz, kaso po may nakikita po akong issues na maingay daw po yung fan masyado. Ano po mairerecommend niyo, kasi po as much as possible gusto ko po pangmatagalan, kasi po student lang po ako and ipon ko po ang gagamitin :(

Hi! The response time is 1 milisecond in 240Hz screen. And sorry for that, because the unit is fresh so we didn't update the nvidia driver that is why mababa ang fps pero overall umaabot to up to 100 fps 👍

G5 pa rin ako. Cpu ng entry level helios is i5 11300 or 10300 ata which will impact its performance, 4c compared to 6c of g5. Mas maganda rin cooling performance ng gigabyte compared to predator series. Or you could step down 1 generation and opt for ryzen 7 4800h + rtx 2060 ng legion. Nga pala, sobrang daling magpawarranty sa gigabyte products dito sa Pinas. Yan yung isa sa pinakadvantage nya.

@Silver4x LOL 😆 who's playing games on battery mode, all batteries depletes faster when you're playing games, good thing it has removable battery so you don't worry about overcharging it when on plug for playing games for long period of time. Overcharging a battery shorten the lifespan of it.

@Silver4x yeah all chargers nowadays works that way even on mobile phone, but what happened if the charger detected the battery depletes some of it's power?? the charger will start to charge the battery again, that's what I mean for overcharging the battery, and charging and discharging decrease the lifespan of a battery because batteries have charging and discharging life cycles unlike when you have removable battery, you just take out the battery and do the plugin mode all the way without hurting your battery with charging and discharging.

The cons I observe in this laptop is yung fan speed, umaabot lang ng 4.7k rpm max ( kung mag lalaro ka ng AAA games sobrang hina nito specially kung di ka mag uupgrade to liquid metal cooling). I have an acer nitro 5, umaabot ng 6.1k rpm yung max fans nun.
