And it’s not just the frogs legs that taste great - in Evangeline parish we have a dish called “frog back gravy” served over rice - it’s amazing with fried frog legs on the side

My dad used to have a spear thing for frogging, but his had a rubber loop on the opposite end of the spear head, so u could wrap the rubber loop around your elbow and fire the spear, as opposed to just using your shoulder muscle

Man the bayou has all the food u guys need down south huh? I tried gator for the first time about 7 years ago when I went to New Orleans. It was good! They told me the best meat on the gator is the cheek and the tail. And fried EVERYTHING down there. It was a trip tho, I’m from California where we get fresh bread and salad as complimentary appetizer, down there they down have hood fresh bread, and u ain’t gettin no salad lol. It was an awesome experience, I want to go back some day

Try this recipe man I promise you want regret it! Better than anything I’ve ever had on frogs… base layer honey mustard then add dux all meat or bbq to flour. Do that two times then fry them up!

Try soaking them in coconut milk for a couple hours next time, or if your frying them them, mix some into your egg wash. Gives them a hint of coconut!! Thank me later

Its fun catching them frogs on a cane pole about 8 foot long with about 4 feet of fishing line put a little piece of red rag on the hook and dangle it in front of there face

Your gig points are too heavy for frogs - that’s why the barb was ineffective- smaller gauge gigs work well and if you spend some time getting them needle sharp you won’t wound or miss many
