Genshin revolutionised the market and allowed the companies to realise that there are many opportunities in this space. Mihoyo is always the one revolutionising the Gacha market, they were the first 3D Gacha game using Honkai Impact 3rd and then the first Open World Gacha game by making Genshin Impact and now we have so many games which is trying to enter this market

People talk about GTA in this trailer, but I would add Yakuza, too since it looks like it has a lot of side activities and wackiness. This is the game I've been most excited for since it debuted last year, but I have to keep reminding myself to keep my expectations in check since it looks too good to be true for a game practically guaranteed to have a mobile version.

Genshin revolutionized the gacha gaming genre, the next step to actually evolve it one step further needs to be a gacha game so mind blowing good that even without something like covid to boost it, it would still get world wide renown just because of how good and different it is. ToF failed to do it, WuWa as much as I love the game and I personally think it is better, fact is it is still too close to Genshin. Ananta on the other hand if it delivers would stand alone just as Ananta. The feeling of back then when Genshin was described as BoTW anime gacha, Ananta gives the same feeling that you can call it GTA/Spiderman anime gacha and it would just feel so right

Immersion is gonna be the biggest factor for me when it comes to the game being enjoyable or not. As much as I love GTA and them cashing in on the idea, I'd rather them take inspiration more from the Yakuza games in my opinion.

I think you're looking for a different kind of game. This game is all about pushing mobility and flexibility in the world, which is why they have gone the GTA route. the city is also insanely big from the looks of it.

The only aspect I want them to take inspiration from Yakuza are the mini game that are pretty sick imo. But overall I think GTA-like game was a better choice here while also having Spider man aspects too. Basically combine every good thing that was in other video games and combine it into one and make it better

I think that Showa American Story does a good job of taking inspiration from the Yakuza games, at least when it comes to the wacky stuff. Definitely recommend that you check that out since that game's also scheduled to come out next year.

From the looks of it, Ananta is is going to be an RPG game and maybe will have a coop features. But outside of that you won't really notice a large player base in the gameplay. Maybe I understood you wrong or something

@@Karmanara Genshin isn't really muilti player game, it is a solo game with the aspects of co-op. It's just how the gachas work and I'm 90% sure that Ananta is sadly going to be the same. Especially if it's also going to be a multi platform game which restricts it more because of Android and IOS users

I'm super interested in this game! The studio is the same behind the game Once Human, another very ambitious game that i had some fun with. But I'm more just wondering how they will handle everything. I'm thinking that the world will feel very lived in, at least judging by the trailer, it's not hard to imagine it being at least as full as gta v, with something like Cyberpunks world. Im more concerned with things like: The type of multiplayer, (hopefully gta like, or at least 2-4 player co-op), The age rating and graphic content, (they seem to have mass crowds walking the streets and if you have player characters able to drive around I'm sure people will hit npcs, I'm not sure how soemthing like that can be done in a cartoon style, without like, sending the nocs flying away and them having them moan and grumble on their backs or something.. ) To be honest it seems very ambitious for the studio, but I'm fully on board, registered for the Beta test and everything. Genuinly want it to succeed sooooo bad, it looks like a dream honestly.

Genshin did start the trend for gacha to be more diverse, but WuWa did push most developers for go for quality. First Genshin came out most competition look the same. WuWa got some similarities but they production of cinematics and storytelling was much better and most gacha games nowsday also follow that same quality level of production.
