Let’s go another season 2 lover! Re Zero season 2 is one of my favorite seasons of anime, and rewatching season 1 with the context of season 2 makes you appreciate it even more. I read the web novel after season 2 ended and if it covers everything that I think it’s going to cover, then season 3 will easily be the best season combining the greatest strengths of both seasons 1 and 2

You’d be incorrect; Tappei wasn’t rushing, and this isn’t even half way through the story yet. Since the Witch Cult are the overarching antagonistic force in the story, it makes sense to introduce the villains into the story before the half-way mark, especially since a precedent was already set with Regulus and Ley Batenkaitos “cooperating” in the Arc 3 interlude (S2e1).

@Lialia_99 Totally agree, I really liked the concept of telling the story from the perspective of different characters. It makes it feel more realistic because you're not focusing on one person, but instead you're seeing it all from each character's perspective at once, like in real life: everyone is living their own life at the moment. I've read WN, so I can say they do it even better because not much time passes between switching groups of characters, and it makes every second of the show more tense and more tragic. It's also really cool that every arc in Re:Zero is something completely different. I mean, if we look at what happened in the previous seasons, we can say that even though we have the same concept of Return by Death, we have completely different arcs in terms of location and goals and every character is developing. And now there's a brutal attack arc with a lot of fighting in which Subaru didn't die every episode. He also no longer focuses only on Emilia and truly becomes like a true knight. And the next arc will be insanely psychological. Isn't that the best thing for any show, to have everything in it while keeping the main story/concept? That's why it's not very productive to judge which arch is better, I'd rather choose both.
