I got 1 original and 2 retro. Same like you, I chose the original to be the commander. My team is small but stronger against Torpedo 😂

Looking forward to the eventual Classified female Eel. Maybe they give them another name. Gorgons. Sirens. That would be cool. I’d like an Eel with a reverse color scheme swapping red for the grey. I’m sure Hydra Vipers will come some day. It’ll be a deluxe with its ray buddy or robotic ray accessory.

I’m with you on how the classified team handles weapons. It’s like there is no rhyme or reason to what some characters get. But I’m picking up several Eels. I got into classified after they were released the first time and missed out. Also can’t wait to get several of the Hydro Viper at some point.

Didn't have much use for this figure.. But it looks great in the retro Packaging so I got it.. Absolutely right about the old gun.

So the Eel is an interesting case - they definitely used the retro card back as an excuse to re-release a figure people really wanted and couldn’t get. I don’t mind that. The other element here is that I think they hadn’t made the decision to make retro card backs a permanent fixture when the first Eel came out, and they were still in that mode of trying to appease the OG fandom by making many of the Classified figures more retro. I think they’ve said now they will go back to a more updated aesthetic with mainline Classified and keep the retro inspired stuff on the cards. I’m hoping they stick to this plan, because that’s the best of both worlds.

Someone finally let a cat out of the bag in regards to the production of accessories like the guns and why we see a lot of weapons that are not needed and have no where to store it. The mold used to create the accessory has more than one item on it. So to make that ONE accessory you also have to make the others. I think the reason we don't see all the Cobra folk have that vintage laser blaster is because in order to mold it, they also have to mold the associated daggers, hand guns and that little knife.

Yeah the gear that came with the deluxe Snow Serpent and the Valkyries. But you think they'd be able to of plan better to have the cartoon laser weapons either seperste or their own thing to be includeded more. And the retrocard trooper just has the smaller one

I think Hasbro had to reissue this because it was such a disaster ordering through Amazon. You were able to order 3? I went to order one, but when I went to pay for it, Amazon told me it was out of stock and I live on the East coast. So, yeah, not sure how "easy" it was for everyone else, but definitely wasn't for me. Glad to see the stronger plastic for the weapons, although they should've added additional fists or hands and another weapon as they've done with almost all the newer Retro figures like Duke and Scarlett. Great review though. Don't want to make it seem like I'm being negative towards you or anyone else.

I'll tell you one thing though I do like that they are changing the ethnicity of some figures giving us a diverse group now we need the Retro Vipers in three different diversities

Yeah but you know, they are doing it with troop builders but we have a dark skinned officer, infantry, EEL, if they carry on the majority of the bad guys are going to be brown, which erm Im not sure is a good idea. I really hope they didn't release the dark skinned army builders first before the caucasians for the purpose of sales.

Don't worry HYDRO VIPER and Undertow will be coming soon. Then I am sure they will make a Blue Bat and call it a Diver as well. Still you can never have too many Frogmen. However, I am tired of all the EXCLUSIVES. It's a scalpers delight. Lastly, the EEL should have come with an MP5, or that rifle and the joes get their laser rifle, and the Line needs to have Consistent Original Equipment, it's hit and miss. Why NO AK for the Serpent?

good review video bro it s too bad you don t use your advantage for your channel I d dress a show for each review with dios and vehicles, and put Valas busy with routines I get criticism for suggestions such as those, and it s uncalled for I act as a genuine team mate, and report to the general about the battlefield status I mention those as help if it did nt occurred to the artist creator of the channel I give them more weapons to achieve success in the mission so to speak my advantage in this is to get a better show, and push both the artist and community s profile, pop, and image. I clarify just so people know what I m about, it s just + bro, nothing negative about it. I finally got a Vala dealer around, so now your channel - show gets more interesting as I have access to some now. there were little choice, so I picked a dark blue fem rep guard, and... I love her, she moves super well, and look good. the eels I had some [2] in the 80s and were my fav I now want 2 and maybe get more if they stay on shelves long enough I already know I won t get any other Cobra divers, as those were never outclassed in my opinion - taste I don t mind the gummy weapons, as long as they don t break... but yeah, it s better. I prefer this retro version, surely, the issues are fixed, and the Cobra logo looks way better than the previous version had. you re on! I m with you with a ground weapon included bro. ok, I ll have plenty once I get my 10x reg troopers, but still, I d want min these guns you show! a comparison with Torpedo would have been cool, I have him, and will probably not buy any other I have no plans for a water dio... or arctic, it s a small place, and already have 4 and a 5th in building phase I might get money and then buy a house... then, yeah, I ll expand my horizons, D my plans long term would be pic montages with music, world peace theme so now you know... good show bro

I'm definitely disappointed how similar it is. I love repaints but I want them to feel like repaints not reissues. Snow Serpent is definitely what I'm looking forward to for building up the ranks

Wow this is the worst release yet. Total clone. i wish theyd just make more of these cobra troopers and have them instock on a permanent basis. why are they letting scalpers get all the money? can someone explain?

How is re-releasing an exclusive across multiple retailers “letting scalpers get all the money”? It’s not. It’s allowing folks who didn’t get the initial release to get it now. They also just released the trooper with a different secondary.

@smyers9052 the cartoon weapon is nice but the addition of spirits is trash. Over 100 figures later and a 5 year old buck, should have been updated.
