I dont mind the one piece jumpsuit. Its iconic to the character. These are retro, so it makes sense they look like the arah versions. Green, grey, red, purple, blue guns. You are never pleased with gun colors. Thank you for the rant and review.

Scarlett was my first Joe back in the ‘80s and this figure is the reason I decided to start collecting the Classified line! A little late to the party, but the figures are cool!

As much as I love this update I could have left the leotard design out. Maybe just make a jump suit look like how Jinx had it in the movie. I think that would have worked well and still kept the design intact.

Great review! Love this classic Scarlett and I never had her as a kid. Id love a whole line of Resolute figures....maybe Ill start making those customs as a new project...time will tell. 👊🏼😉

Love the leotard, don't understand people complaining about it. Quick Kick, has even less practical field attire, but no complaints on him. Besides, she's a superhero. All female superheros wear tight, sexy clothing i.e Storm, Psylocke, Rogue, Ms Marvel, Emma Frost. It's FANTASY.

Another objective and honest review. I couldn’t agree with your sentiments more on the impressions of the retro card Scarlett. It’s clearly a spot on recreation of the OG Scarlett with the pony tail and accessories/load out as bonus. She came with just a crossbow I believe in the 80s (first release version) I wish they’d come on with a modernized version for her as well in 6 in line, they can use this same buck for all I care just give her a comic or renegades aesthetic since we’ve had the versions more aligned to the previously released game for her. Definitely getting this figure soon as it’s available or I get to a good target first.

Glenda being a repainted Scarlett is fine and make sense. Glenda was originally a repainted Scarlett and never released in America. It’s a cool call back.

I liked the original Classified looks as well as this comic/cartoon look too. To me the elbow articulation is the main upgrade. The movie Scarlett is like that Renegades look if I remember correctly. This figure with retro Snake Eyes is just perfect. Lately I’m noticing some odd design choices. She’s never really had the backpack before nor a pistol. So I understand a holster would have been difficult to fit with them designing that separate piece to match the original. I also understand reuse is easy. I’ll have to play around with the accessories to see what I like best. I look forward to when she and Duke ship from Pulse.

I'm not complaining about having extra accessories that you can always give to another figure but to me as an OG she is just going with a crossbow the quiver and those arrows that's it no need for any other other stuff

Bobby, I did have to get her in my head cannon she and the other retro cards are in the the comics universe(s). The first release updated tech based is in the modern warfare. Both have their place.✌️

It's curious how at first I thought well I would love to get the new Scarlett seeing how she has more accessories and articulation, but yeah I will admit as well the leotard design doesn't make sense for me, of course it would be hard to think of her in another uniform, but it definitely would be interesting to see her done in a Renegade look. So in the meantime I'm still happy with the first releases of Scarlett, granted not many accessories and certainly not the best arm articulation, but I digged that design and well the face does look beautiful for me, love it, the Retro one looks nice too though I got more used to the first release one.

The crossbow splits for production/molding. The shape doesn’t lend itself well to a single mold.

I painted the armor on a Snake Eyes movie Scarlett in that yellow ocher color to make a cool "updated" version. However, I still like this one better. I'm an old school Joe fan though. I wish mine would hurry up and get here!

I don't have a problem with the first two releases apart from only having single jointed elbows and no bicep swivel. This simpler original design does look good though. I like that you can stow the crossvow bolts in the quiver. 👍

I think of the first release had double jointed elbows and this head sculpt....it would have been an OK update not perfect maybe but cool....I tend to agree that the unitard look is.....maybe.....not aging well but it's classic and that's what retro is for but yea wouldn't be against an updated look with this articulation

Yeah I'm with you on the classic leotard being kinda goofy. I'm planning on doing some part swapping and going for like a recreation of that one Sideshow Collectibles statue where she was in the leotard but had pants. I think that's the best update to her classic look I've seen done personally. Then again I'm usually part swapping or changing little things out on all the classified figures I get.

If they were to make another new body Scarlet it would either be a Diver (remould of a future Wetsuit Baroness / Undertow officer etc..) or they'd do the Ninja Force one. The pre-existing one WAS the update. You got it already years ago. I wouldn't rule out them adding her to Night Force or Tiger Force too though. or offering a slight repaint (as her colour tones do vary sometimes) But I think they want to make A LOT of female character rather than the same one over and over to many times. i think it might take them a while to get around to jetpack Hawk or Infantry Solder Duke too but like Snake Eyes or Roadblock they certainly can do that.. but Duke perhaps might get a Night Force deco first. (all be one with some tweaked parts as we saw with Shockwave). There seems no real will or demand to fragment the brand with to many non central canon designs though. But they do some darn wacky stuff with Transformers so I would n't rule them out. The next Snake Eyes I hope is version 4.. i think it might not always be useful to go to nutty though, you wouldn't want to create a shelf hugger or a toy that screams "wait for a sale" (Like Desert Snake Eyes or Python Patrol Copper head did). Digging to deep into the later cartoons is something to be careful of. That is why people looked at Emelie like she'd gone crazy when she said she wanted to do the DIC cartoon deco of Road Pig and not the OG Toy colours.

The fact that SCARLETT doesn't have a pistol holster is absolutely inexcusable. Shana not having a pistol holster would have been something I would have expected at the beginning of the _Classified Series,_ and not four years into the line. If was an issue of cost they should have picked the holster over the M16. SCARLETT's primary weapon is the crossbow and nobody would have tripped if she didn't have a rifle. For those who wanted Shana to have a rifle there's a plethora of 3rd party sources where we could've gotten a M16, (or any other rifle for that matter,) and not for nothing, (and this isn't meant as a slight against the _JOE_ team,) but a 3rd party rifle would have looked better than the one she came with. Bobby had jokes in this video.😅

I'm less concerned with soft weapons than I am with a chest that is a completely different color that the rest of the leotard. Similar to Quick Kicks torso being drastically different than the rest of his skin. Miss colored body parts makes them look like crrrap I'd say with the paint matching fail, I prefer the updated Classified repaint.
