The NBA took away aggression to protect the "names" of the league ... that work accelerated in the Le-Humble ones era ... Ave points 1997-2003 was 95 points per game 2022-2023 114 points per game + 20% points The college system is set up to produce marquee players & that suits the NBA as they are after players they can bank on. The thing is the league is broken because the Euros are making a mockery of all the reliance on the U.S's players "athleticism" & show-time dunking...its just not required to win. They are showing that sticking to fundamentals (high % shots) & opening the floor are key to making themselves difficult to beat. I think in time the NBA will start bringing in Euro defensive players...they are there, its just that teams are more likely to look for baskets over defence
