Always been a big fan of John Wall but the more I listen to Gil on his pod and in this one, the more he becomes one of my favorites. incredible interview John and it’s great to see you get your own pod started - still feel like you should be in the league tho but that’s for a different day 🤷🏽‍♂️ I felt a ton of nostalgia seeing both John & Gilbert talking to each other in this setting as a fan for the past 20 years. Question 1 - With the Suns flaming out against an insanely good Wolves team & Brad on one of the most expensive contracts in the league - do you think Beal’s overall play & performance (apart from injuries) was more due to what Vogel’s offensive scheme or just that KD/Book command all of the touches? and is All-NBA 30ppg Brad a thing of the past or can he get back to being a star level player? Question 2 - there’s a notion that when a star level player on a bad team gets moved to a team that’s expected to compete for a championship, there’s a big learning curve & adjustment and takes a season or two to gel (Lebron Heat, KD/Kyrie Nets, Beal/Book/KD Suns, how much do you buy into that as a player and will the suns be back stronger next season?
