Rolling a cart filled with booze out of the store and getting arrested? Man, he's completely fallen from what he once was and turned into one of the Trailer Park Boys.

I met Robert/Gilbert through my sister, whom I was living with in Mississauga. She was divorced from a guy who's sister was the wife of R/G. My sister and his wife remained friends after my sister's divorce and the couple visited occasionally. He was very charming and very generous. Go figure. On some nights R/G, myself and new brother inlaw would hit the bar to let the girls have time alone to talk.He was generous to a fault and I never was allowed to pay any part of any tab. This would have been 1987/88 ish. There is alot more about him I liked about him but carisma comes to mind.

Why didn't he go back to Canada? Why didn't Tommy Craig help him when he got out?
@Yehshlynn Жыл бұрын
Because tommy got 8 years while he was in prison. .

Masterminds did a thing on him back in the day and they said he had a bad drinking problem when he was in his prime. So him looking like that isn't a surprise.

Did anyone ask him "what would you do if somebody tried to stop you at the bank?" If his gun was really loaded, its a scary thought

The odds of you getting a cop car waltzing by your bank or store you're robbing is a lot higher in the USA. Being deported back to the USA I'm surprised he didn't have follow up charges waiting for him down there, but you can't play the odds down there. Random pullovers and other general police policies are completely different than Canada.

If he had all this loot hidden away, why shoplift a liquer store? He may have taken 2.5 mil but that is not what you get back from a fence. He had cash from banks, but over a mil in jewels which he would be lucky to get 25%???
