I have to say I appreciate this more sober delivery. The true crime community is drowning in a dearth of childish and sensational recounting of these very real tragedies. Presenters are responsible for either creating a circus atmosphere around these ppl's lives, or treating it with the sensitivity it merits. I'm happy to tune in again so long as the gravity of these events isn't lost going forward.

This is a wonderful format for reporting on and dissecting crimes. I am so tired of the little drama presentations of the Real Crime or True Crime, etc. Well done, Sir.

Thanks for the Sidebar update Josh. Love getting your take on the cases. And I hope Alec doesn’t get a new trial… he is guilty as sin and the crime was so horrific and he needs to let Maggie and his son RIP and not waste The courts time or the taxpayers money!

Great show Josh! So sad that those children lost both of their parents! I hope I'm alive long enough to see all the murders of Gilgo Beach being solved! And I agree about Murdaugh's case. He was found guilty but if the jurors were tainted, he should get a new trial. Justice will prevail again!

I do not agree that a juror can come up after they were polled and asked everyday during the trial if anyone talked to them about the trial ,and no misconduct was reported. I think Murdaugh had someone offer a big payout for a certain outcome from a juror.

Would they be even having this trail if he was being prosecuted? Appears to be a 'go after the girlfriend' sort of scenario because they cannot get him.

Because they cannot take revenge on the husband for actually murdering his wife they go after the girlfriend. He's the actual murderer,, he's dead, case closed. Just because he's probably guilty doesn't mean the girlfriend is definitely guilty. She's at worst guilty of after the fact disposal.

23:53 'You cannot turn this hearing into the Trial of Mrs Hill' That's a bit rich coming from the Judge when the Court allowed Murdoch's Murder Trial to be turned into a Trial about his Financial Crimes citing that it showed what led to the crimes and as a testimony to his character yet it's not relevant in Mrs Hill's Trial?

Good morning Joshua - You did great flying solo! I am so glad you are discussing Michelle Troconis. Honestly, I am confused because there is no DNA linking her to this crime. These charges baffle me but, I haven’t followed as closely as other cases. I wouldn’t want to be a Prosecutor trying this case though. I live in South Carolina and I think Alex Murdaugh’s jury got it right. But, if Becky Hill said ANYTHING about Alex then he deserves a new trial. It’s an expensive case to prosecute but, her job should be performed with dignity and fairness. Great podcast, as always, have a fantastic week!

How can you determine that Mrs Hill's comments had no effect on the Jurors? The very fact that she did it is a breach of Murdoch's rights! Whether you think he deserved the verdict or not there has to be an example made of this so it never happens again!

Michelle helped him dispose of the garbage bags. And her DNA was INSIDE the bags. I hope she goes away for a long time. The Dulose children will never have their mother again. The father was a coward.

I had to comment again about the Alex Murdaugh case. I agree ….. I too believe he is guilty….. HOWEVER, I also agree EVERYONE deserves a fair trial. I don’t believe the clerk could have NOT effected the jury’s opinion if she made disparaging remarks and she should have known better.
