I bought a slim twist a few weeks ago on eBay. Same colour handle as Your DA’s Paul. It’s immaculate, came in its original box with 1965 blades. I’m 48. I remember back in the seventies seeing one in my Grandfathers bathroom. It’s a brilliant razor to shave with - I find myself grabbing it anytime I need a shave, and I have a lot of razors to choose from 👍

Too notch shave, bud! Mrs. H with the fantastic display of flowers once again. I got nicked up on my neck last shave. I got these thyroid bumps on my neck and it’s never an easy shave on the neck line for me. Just about needed a tourniquet that shave! Gotta let my face heal maybe a few days sadly. Not any fault on my Merkur Progress’ or the Derby Blades or the shaving soap of choice. But my god it burned like a bat out of hell when I splashed on the witch hazel. No Shave of the day today, but yesterday I got I new soap from Victory shaving company made in the U.S.A. called "Radio Operator" which is Bay Rum and Rose. A really nice warm spicy scent. Perfect for the first day of Autumn. Then I used my 1940s post war Gillette superspeed, and a brand new Treet Carbon Steel Razor Blade, Fine Stout synthetic shave brush, then to top if off Old Spice Classic Aftershave. I used a beard balm from Phoniex Artisan Accoutrements called DAB which is based off of the U.S. version of Brylcreem which is my favorite hair product. Having a very special shave on Sunday, cause it's mine and my twin brother's 21st birthday. I can legally have a drink 🍺! I actually would appreciate it if it would be possible to give me and my brother a shout out his name is Skylar. I have been watching you for a couple of years and you got me into wet shaving. I will be shaving with Old Spice Original shaving soap in a Old Spice mug, Fine Synthetic shave brush, 1940s post war Gillette superspeed, brand new Gillette Silver Blue blade, British version of Old Spice aftershave, and finally DAB beard balm. Such beautiful flowers. Mrs H trully has a great gift. I loved this shave for a particular reason. Just the other day my younger brother found my late grandfather's razor in his old house. It's a Gillette Slim Twist just like that one you used, in great condition. I never knew my grandfather used a safety razor and it blew me away. It's great shaving with it because now I remember him lots of times. I feel privileged to use something he used in his daily routine. A new bond with my ancestor that I never expected :) Have a great rest of the week!

Very nice video. My sotd is a vander hagen razor with a derby blade. I ordered cello shave cream and received it yesterday. Lovely cream. Aqua velva aftershave and Nivia balm post shave. Amazing how the most inexpensive creams and soaps are sometimes the best. You and Mrs. H stay well

Great shave Paul!!! My SOTD is the 3one6 with a Wilkinson Sword blade, TOBS Platinum soap and aftershave, some Lucky Tiger shave tonic, and Nivea Men's Cooling Lotion to lock in the moisture. The Meal of the day, oddly enough, is just an old fashioned crab boil, with some buttered corn, potato salad, and garden salad. Have a wonderful day!

Good evening Paul! Love the flowers, as always...Mrs. H has some talent for arrangements. Palmolive cream I don't have, but the shaving sticks are superior. For me, I like to have a keen blade, yet I tend to use them until they expire (get tuggy, stop cutting cleanly, etc). Some of my blades have 20 uses plus before I bin them and other blade are gone after the 1st use (2016 Derby Extra blades come to mind). Another subscriber visit...I hope they enjoyed their stay as much as I enjoyed mine! Denbigh is a great place to visit for sure and once this virus ends I will go visit my son in Scotland and drop by again. SOTD: ATT M2 Atlas razor loaded with a King C Gillette blade (10th use). PAA Diver Down CK-6 mug soap lathered with a That Darn Rob 26mm Tuxedo Synthetic. This PAA mug soap is a limited release; it has a beautiful scent and some of the best lather properties imaginable. Traditional 3 pass plus pick-up shave. The ATT M2 razor delivers an efficient shave with plenty of blade feel. A light touch is required. Finished with Thayer's AF SF skin toner and PAA Diver Down aftershave. An outstanding shave and the smooth result lasted 20 hours. Your shave was outstanding too, Paul! You make it look so easy. To get specific i do have ingrown hairs that are acne related, i found success with an exfloliating cleanser that contained glycolic acid.

Although I do use other more expensive soaps Parmolive is my daily shave soap at £1.80 a tube you can’t go wrong. Out of interest I decided to see how many shaves I would get from a tube and so far I’m up to 93 and still some to go. That is less than 2p a shave. I’ve not been mean that is a 3 pass plus pick ups plus plenty left for a face wash. I was in Savers the other day and bought a Blue Stratos for £3.49. Sounds like I’m a cheap skate but it’s sometimes nice to have a little of the past. Keep well and keep safe and regards to Mrs H.

Is the other way around for me. I love using the nice soaps and building a nice lather, and aftershave products but don’t consistently use a safety razor. It rarely goes well for me so I always ended using the artisan shave products with a cartridge razor. 🤷🏻‍♂️. Maybe one of these days...

I am gonna try shaving more than once/passes. Does that brush work better than just applying by hand? I used to use clubman for aftershave, not bad smelling like an old man. I was a little crazy a few years back, used to use rubbing alcohol as to keep the razorburn down, witchhazel, will hafta look into that, i don't like cucumber scents for the most part.

Yeah, so I'm new to this, having no idea he has lots of videos, and im assuming this is metrosexual's wet dream! But when you use all these products together it is hard to figure what is doing what, like in medicine or supplements even. Just after drinking a monster or redbull, i know what is gonna happen, the determined effects. So with me I tend to use single products at a time. Because if you are using too many products at once it's like taking a bazooka to something instead of taking guided missiles one by one at the problem, plus i generally am a stickler for using one product at a time irregardless so i just grab Barbasol for the most part but i ventured into using taylor of oldbond sandalwood, but not a professional british shaving man, like this guy. So i likely will be ignored unless i saw something british like welly. Or dill dilly, or bullocks!
