A surprise video! And a good one to boot! I was not aware of Dawn Wells secret. Given Russell Johnson’s comment to her being assembled, I wonder what other beauty secrets she had? Hollywood. A place where the movies, the studios and the artists themselves are manufactured. Great video Rick! PS: Here’s a shout out to Lucille Ball on what would have been her birthday today!

Dawn Wells was better assembled than ANY American car of the last 100 YEARS. She was a knockout beauty. In the eternal “Ginger or Mary Ann” question, it was always Mary Ann, hands down! Just the bone structure of that angel face put most of the women working in Hollywood TO SHAME. I feel it’s a distinct possibility that Dawn was the original form created by divine craftspeople to illustrate “Feminine Beauty”. This was a woman to DIE for, no question about it!

She was soo beautiful and whether she wore 🧢 caps 🧢 or not I wasn’t focused on looking 👀 at her teeth. Mary Ann was a natural beauty the girl from next door you wished you had as a girlfriend. Many didn’t choose Ginger 🫚 because she was the woman 👩 that was out of your league and perhaps wouldn’t give you the time of day. It’s sad Dawn Wells isn’t around anymore.

Nothing to be ashamed of. My Mom had caps on her front teeth most of her life. As a teen or younger, a kid and my Mom were playing hot rope. And this kid's head hit my Mom's front teeth. Her front teeth broke. She had a dentist in Kingsville, TX put caps on her front teeth. As in her later years, my Mom broke her front teeth again! Either caused by hard food or age of the caps. We had a local Dentist near Lubbock, TX replace her caps free of charge. We were all good friends with this Dentist. He just told my mom to be careful about hard foods. Just wanted to share. I liked Mary Ann and the entire cast of Gilligan's Island. Thanks, Rick. Take care.

I remember when she was on Space Ghost Coast to Coast, an episode where Bob Denver and Russell Johnson also appeared, she mentioned a story about her teeth, though right after she mentions it, the story doesn’t get told right away but later when it starts to get told, it gets interrupted so we don’t hear the full story since it wasn’t at the forefront when it came to Dawn herself as she was there to talk about other things, like a cookbook she wrote, but it was quite funny how it was all played out. She looked great regardless, but you talking about this reminded me of that episode and it’s really interesting to hear you talk about her teeth Rick. Keep up the great work and have a great day. Take care!

She seemed to be as her character, a very kind person.

Bob Denver said that Dawn really was Mary Ann. But no, I didn't know about her teeth, and I don't really think this played that much of a role with boys and men falling for her. She was actually surprised that she had more guys falling for her than Tina Louise. Angela Cartwright was also surprised that there were fans that had TV crushes on Penny Robinson. She shouldn't have been. Most of the fans who watched that show were closer to her age than Marta Kristen.

Maybe I misunderstood what you said, but if she took them out before an eating scene, then why would she need to pretend to chew? The two statements don't make sense together. More likely what really happened is she EITHER removed the caps before the scene OR pretended to chew with them on. I understand why Hollywood would have her wear the caps, but she was a beauty with or without them.

I just can't get into Gilligan's Island as an adult. I usually get "It's A Tv Show"not everything has to make 100% sense. But they just take it too far for me. Why did they bring so many clothes for a 3 hour tour, why does Mr Howell have His teddy bear, how did it survive landing on the island, why don't they all stink, how is Mary Anne making those coconut cream pies with no ingredients or an oven? Things like that.

Rick has a video of how Mary Ann made those coconut cream pies. And you're certainly not the only one who looks into things too much. I think the same things too. Nonetheless, Gilligan's Island is my favorite show BECAUSE of how silly and absurd it is.(even if I analyze it ever chance I get. I can't watch something normally.) I think that's why everyone loved it too. Essentially, you're watching a cartoon. If you don't like cartoons, there's a big chance you don't like Gilligan's Island.
