I should probably add that Zero Escape is a trilogy, even though none of the games technically have the same title... chronological order is the way to do it though and that'd be: (1) 9 Hours 9 Persons 9 Doors, (2) Virtue's Last Reward, and then (3) Zero Time Dilemma. The first two games are part of a collection on PS4 and Steam called The Nonary Games (ZTD is also on PS4 and Steam) and I say it's the definitive way to play the first two games though the DS and 3DS are also good ways. Alright, ramble over.

This isn't exactly an escape room themed game for say, but Rooms: The Adventures of Anne and George is a fun puzzle game that adds a interesting spin on sliding puzzles. Also, for games inspired by Portal in terms of narrative and puzzles, there's Q.U.B.E. 2 as well as Shift Quantum. Both of which were heavily influenced by Portal. All 3 of these games are currently available on Switch eShop, but none of them you can get for only a dollar, which is fair enough due to the quality of these games.

(looks at playtime logs) *chukles* your in danger Ok in all do seriousness I have 300 hours on mario paper sticker star(I was like 10 and it was one of my first games) I dont have the exact logs but at least 800 hours on terraria for ds Pokemon x 100-200 hours I sold them awhile ago but I still have the time written down pokemon moon has like 100 hours yokia watch 100 hours mario kart 7 500hours I lost my cartridge and now I'm sad I loved that game animal crossing new leaf 100-400 hours I've lost my logs on that one oh and fantasy life 300 easily and sub wars 100 done. I could go on but those are the biggest ones

Not necessarily an escape room, but a good point-and-click puzzle series I’ve been getting into is the Rusty Lake and Cube Escape series of games. There’s almost 20 games between both series, and are all loosely tied together into this surreal, dark world. If you wanna start, I’d recommend Case 23. If you enjoy that one, you’ll enjoy the others.

I'd love the feeling of motion sickness in a VR game, because once you take that away, it doesn't really feel like you're in the game anymore. It just feels like you're looking at really impressive, closeup 3D or something. Not as immersive.

There are honestly A LOT of escape room type games for VR. Like a weirdly large amount of them. If you ever decide to look into it, but are worried about nausia, I'd recommend going to an eye doctor and asking them to find your IPD (something you set on VR for comfort), and using the teleportation control scheme in whatever game you'd wind up playing.

I couldn't recommend the ridge wallet because after prolonged use it rips apart the face of your credit cards, the size of the clip makes exchanging money in line at a store too long for comfort since you must triple fold the cash, and the clip is tight enough to rip your money if you're not careful with it, although mine has loosened over time.

Geki Yaba Runner came out originally on the Wii as 2 fast 4 gnomes then got ported to 3DS. As to why it called gecki yaba runner? I don't know why considering the name in the west is 2 fast 4 gnomes. It also looks different in terms of the level select and how the characters look in the story.

Nintendo needs to add a 5-star rating system and have some way of filtering these pages to exclude 1-star garbage by default. Hey Gilly, I just want you to know, after watching this video, I immediately booted up my switch, saw that Geki Yaba and Elevator to the Moon were both still on sale for a buck each, and then bought them. I'm actually really excited to try them out. As someone who is still in college and stuck on a constant budget, getting new games for something that won't result in me not eating for a week is near impossible. But I was able to redeem so Nintendo Gold coins to download both of these for free, and I've actually wishlisted Sky Peace. Just thought you might like to know that you really are good at this whole youtube thing, because your glowing reviews of the games lead me to immediately want them. As a side note, I'd actually really love to see you do more of these "gaming on a budget" videos, I can certainly tell you that I myself and I'm sure a lot of others would appreciate it. Also, Geki Yaba Runner I believe was originally a 3DS game, as I have a vague memory of downloading a free demo for it (As a kid I downloaded every single demo I had access to whether or not it looked good) and I remember liking it, so I'm excited to try it out. Looks like everyone mentioned the zero escape games and give my +1 to them. But aside from that, I'd also recommend the mainline Danganronpa series which is similar but more of a point and click solve the mystery kind of game. You also have the Hotel Dusk games which are also really good as well.

So if you're looking for an Escape the Room game and haven't played the Zero Escape series you're missing out. Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors is the first and an amazing game I highly recommend to everyone.

Gil, I have a good set of recommendations for escape room type games. Though you'd have to be okay playing them on your phone. I don't think any of them are on any other system but mobile. But still, they're fantastic. The first is a series called "the room". The 4th game in the series is free, and it's really good. Good enough for me to spend a few bucks to get the other 3. Which are also good. The second are more just regular point and click adventures, but they're still fantastic, and some are just straight room escape games. They're the rusty lake/cube escape games. Most of them are free. 3 are paid for and they're all worth both your time and money.

I know so many people have already said it, but try the zero escape games. especially 999 and virtue's last reward. they're a trilogy of escape room games with insanely compelling and well written stories that will fuck you up with all the plot twists and crazy shit happening.
