I love the way Luke waggles his head...to all the wonderful feminists commenting on this video, if I took what Luke said seriously I would find it offensive, but a) I don't and b) I think it kind of shows his character arc, how he goes from this big kid hater to this incredible father figure.
@teresarivasugaz23134 жыл бұрын
I'm a feminist and I would kick them all out for taking up space without buying anything. Luke's wrong about breastfeeding tho, lady has the right to feed her child anywhere. Better have it calmly eating than wailing like a fucking siren, anyway.

Mind you, if I were Luke, I’d also get annoyed about a flock of parents & babies suddenly invading the place, rearranging the tables, taking all the space over, then sitting there & hardly ordering anything. As far as the breastfeeding goes, as long as it was done discretely & didn’t put others off their food, I wouldn’t mind so much 🤷♂️😏

Funny scene. Actually, I think in the old days in many part of the world women just whipped it out and fed whenever and whereve. I'm honestly surprised this is even a scene here. Gilmore Girls is a pretty feminist show (considering how Lorelei and Rory both rip on the Donna Reed show and so on.) And yet one of the most beloved characters is acting like breasts are sexual organs. Kind of disappointing.

A woman has a right to breastfeed in public. Plus Luke and Jess's reaction is hilarious!
@lizw.943610 жыл бұрын
***** You must not have children. Its not a disgusting thing. Its not to make you feel uncomfortable. Its a mother feeding her child in the most natural way. This doesn't mean a woman should just whip them out anywhere in public, and general a woman will do what she can to keep herself covered. She does have every right feed her child. She can't control when her baby will get hungry.
@Tr0nzoid9 жыл бұрын
I don't understand the "surprise" about this scene being on what you're calling a feminist show. Luke is the one complaining about breastfeeding, not Lorelei and Rory.
@lavernesimon789 жыл бұрын
I am a feminist. Proud to be one. I am also a woman. Kids are not nuclear reactors, while you can't control when they'll be hungry there is control over her body. What's normal for one house may not be normal for another. Saw a lady at a restaurant just whip out her boob and feed her kid next to a family with elementary school kids. No cover or anything. Had another situation where a lady asked the hostess if there was anywhere quiet that a she could breastfeed. Was taken to a closed off section. I get it a kid needs to eat, but the breastfeeding movement has taken decency out of motherhood.
@sarahnaggie96029 жыл бұрын
+Laverne Simon I said most are none the wiser. im sure some notice. but as I stated a strangers comfort zone does not matter to me. they have the option to look away, my baby has the right to eat wherever he wants. so your comment is moot.

Ok this scene is hilarious, but what is wrong with prude America, the land of double standards?! 🤷🏻♀️You guys got the world's most prominent plastic surgeons for augmentation mammoplasty, your people have come up with and promoted everything from Twerking over Bikini Wrestling to Hef's Playboy, but society can't handle the most natural thing on earth, a mommy breastfeeding her child at a diner table (simply because it's lunchtime and the kid's hingry and, even if near, a toilet is no place any human should eat)?!?! I'm fully aware that Luke just represents a distinct misanthrope in general, however the writers totally picked up on a certain Western mentality...boobs are no fun anymore then they are vividly used for their actual function are they?! 🤦🏻♀️

@@WouldntULikeToKnow.Im a woman and I agree with OP. You can't expect everyone to be able to ignore it.
