Nothing he said was inaccurate or irrelevant. Everyone else just over romanticizing the hood. AI was big, but Dr J big. Steph has had the biggest influence on the style of today's game, but he is not yet the inspirational figure that Kobe has become because of his mindset.

In a practical sense, players become icons during by winning championships because that's when everybody is watching and that's when it matters. MJ is by FAR the most influential player, and even with all his acrobatics, what's the number 1 thing people reference about him? He was a winner.

He’s speaking about players that changed the game. Before that he stated that before 04 if you were down 17 they were already leaving, however since Steph showed up his ability to hit threes changed the way they approached the game. AI with his crossover gave way to the Kyries and JCs.

@@D1A112 Kobe was not freakishly athletic. He was athletic as a basketball player, but again, he was not one of the most athletic players of all time. Kobe was creative and relentless, but he didn't jump out the gym. He was nothing like TMac, VC and definitely not MJ...in terms of athleticism. In fact, that's what made him special...where as a guy like MJ was freakishly athletic with a 48 inch vertical. His athleticism was a gift that you're born with.
