The fear for Jordan came not from the fact he was going for your neck it is from the fact he was messing up their checks. The promos that man would cut on players combined with the way he would turn them into nightly highlight reels had a direct impact on their checks even more so back then. If you were the guy and it was your team you were supposed to have some sort of answer for 23. Teams had bonuses directly connected to how you played against Mike. The social media age is wild. Bron ain't even retired and he's already getting pulled down. Bron isn't feared... Bron doesn't have a bag..... ect. In about ten years all this is gonna be washed, rinsed, and repeated. There will be a younger group of viewers saying the 2000s and the 2010s were trash. They didn't have as many good three point shooters. They never had a player like Wenby ect. Not even the new media like Gil's Arena is aware of this. Bron played against Paul Pierce, Tracy McGrady, Kobe Bryant, ect. Those same players played against Jordan. Yet Jordan also played against Bird and Magic. The new fans are biased and don't really know the NBA as a game, as a business, or it's history. The old media is biased and storyline driven. The new media is biased for the players but they are already old heads themselves and don't realize it.
