Just to make things more clear than they are, the mage girl likes Gilthunder. And Gilthunder likes Margaret. The bug thing that was on Margaret was stalking her. And the crows on top were stalking Gilthunder. The girl was using these creatures to be her eyes. She used a spell to when Gilthunder was teaming up with the seven deadly sins or Meliodas, Margaret would die. And if he freed Margaret from the prison, Margaret would die. So he had no choice but to team up with hendrickson and stuff. He knew from the beggining that his father died from them. He just had to do it tho. He loves Margaret.

Basing on history as i remember king arthur is accompanied by merlin the mage (dont know why he's called mage) and as i remember all the members of the sins is based of real historical people from the medival period i think?

Actually every main character from this series is from legends and it will eventually come into the Arthur's legend, but that would be another manga from the same author. Spoilers ahead: Although, I have to say, out of all of the characters in SDS, Merlin deserves to die most and I wouldn't be sad if I see her die in the next manga lmao. Not after she did all of that shit with the world and how she summoned that creepy shit using Meliodas and others as pawns. Oh man in the end I was hoping that no one would've helped her to fight the Garfield Monster thing because she was the reason it became active so I was hoping the cat monster would just eat her up lmao.
