You picked a great day. Wonderful place. So much atmosphere. Always visit when we fo up there. In inspiring place . I'd love to have a time machine and be able to go back and see it in all its heyday glory as an invisible visitor.

What an awesome structure. Walking with you through the different passages I imagined in my mind what it could've been like hundreds of years ago. You did an amazing job capturing it with your camera lens, and I believe a drone was used too? I've been to Whitby a few times, and saw the Abby from above, but never got a chance to see it in person. Thanks to you, I feel I have! :)

What a beautiful video. It’s very difficult to grasp just how magnificent it must have been back in its day. St Hilda held a Sinod there to formulate how the dates for Easter is worked out and is still used to this day. I find the history very interesting.

@@GimbalWalkTV my favourite view of Whitby is just at the bottom of the Abbey Steps looking out to the harbour mouth between the two houses. Always reminds me of childhood holidays when it was my first look across the harbour and I knew the beach was just at the bottom of the hill. Happy times.
