I also went to the factory here for 3 days. But it wasn't at my age. When I asked the ladies who went here, You're saying that 20 years old is not here. So I just went for three days and left the company.

Among the food culture of Korea, special things that distinguish it from the food culture of other countries. // 1. Perfect vegan food represented by Korean Buddhist temple food 2. An endless variety of soup dishes 3. Kimchi: Vegetables fermented with animal protein represented by cabbage kimchi. In the past, only Koreans made and ate it. There are over 800 types of kimchi. 4. Jeotgal: A fermented animal-based sauce made from seafood. In Korea, there are more than 140 different types of salted fish. 5. Ssam: It means wrapping all the ingredients you want to eat in various leafy vegetables represented by lettuce. However, unlike burritos, you have to swallow them in one bite, so you need to adjust the amount of ingredients to be wrapped appropriately. 6. Herbal Medicine Ingredients : Herbal medicine ingredients are not only eaten for special diseases or health, but are also often used for general home cooking. For example, as ingredients for Samgye-tang, Mulberry, Tree Aralia, Eleutherococcus Sessiliflorus, Mongolian Milkvetch, Korean Angelica, Ginger, Jujube and Korean Ginseng are used. 7. Namul : South Korea is the country that eats the most dishes made with only vegetables without meat and seafood protein. Namul are foods made with one edible plant as the main ingredient. Examples of the types of Namul include Shepherd's Purse, Stringy Stonecrop, Korean Angelica-tree, Korean Wild Chive, Butterbur, Bracken, Doellingeria Scabra, Bamboo Shoot, Chamnamul and Cirsium Setidens. // Etc... Korea shows a distinctly different food culture from neighboring countries in Far East Asia (China, Mongolia, Vietnam, Japan).

Totally agree! Korean food culture is so unique and diverse. I love how it blends health with flavor, especially the emphasis on fresh ingredients. And those soup dishes? Can’t get enough! Kimchi is the real MVP! 🍽️

I really enjoyed this video! The way the Kimchi is made in such a huge factory is fascinating. But honestly, I can't help but wonder if the mass production takes away from the traditional methods that make Kimchi special. It's like, does more efficiency mean less authenticity? Just a thought!

The Kimchi is packed into plastic bags right after the cabbage gets mixed with the red paste. When does the fermentation happen ? Do they ferment the cabbage and the sauce separately ?

@@kerezik5093 the bacteria in kimchi that ferments it works in cooler temperatures I make my own and ferment it in my refrigerator it takes longer but it still works

@ if you send it immediately after making it and it’s not extremely hot it should be fine you can always send it in a styrofoam cooler with dry ice

Is there a reason why the Kimchi was Marinated as a whole and nut cut into pieces at that step already? That would make the whole process a lot less labour intensive.

Traditionally it is fermented whole it is Pogi kimchi the chopped one is Mak kimchi

If you store it as whole kimchi, it won't sour quickly, and you can store it longer and more deliciously

All the comments above are correct but not the main reason. The main reason why it's not chopped is because depending on how you eat, the sizes change. Let's say if you eat kimchi as just side for main meals like rice, soup, or ramen, you chop it small (this is the most common way, and you probably thought about this). If you eat food like steamed pork, AKA bossam, you cut it in big pieces. It's like a cheese. They ferment it as whole piece and chop or shred after.

Kimchi is a food that changes in color, scent, and taste while it's being made. Make it yourself and try it out! 우리는 재료가 뭔지를 아닌깐 너무 깨끗한데.. 우리 문화에 익숙하지 않으 다른 나라 사람들이 보기에는 미적으로 별로인 장면들이 있는것아 속상하네요 ㅠㅠ
