Yeah... They should never have let Taylor go. But I guess he didn't fit in the band because of his personality, he was probably too serious. Ron Wood is easy to get along with, you know, a nice guy, Keith's drinking buddy.

It saddens me to think of the difference Taylor would have continued to make for the Stones over the past 47 years, Ronnie is completely washed up now, and Taylor sits at home, what missed opportunities but that's life. Ronnie was Keith's buddy so he gets the job, but he didn't deserve to keep the job, decades of letting down audiences with his drinking and lackluster performances, ok he was great for the past 10 years with sobriety but now he's playing worse than ever for some reason, he doesn't even attempt to play a solo properly, it's weird, like he's tired of them and wants to try something different, something crap.

I was there yesterday. My 5 cents: Mick Taylor was/is a great technical guitar player but never was a Rolling Stone, Ronnie Wood is. At this stage the Stones should be doing what they are good at: playing riffs. Leave solo's to younger guitar players, the current Stones don't need any guitar solo's any more, not any more than than some single notes in between. The concert was awesome btw. Missed Charlie, the current drummer put power to the songs according to the reviews, Charlie didn't need to put power to the songs, he was a Rolling Stone and knew exactly what to do ...
