Looking back, Gin did some things that's very interesting. When Gin fought Ichigo it was like he was training him rather than actually fighting him. Also when Gin opened the gate to the Soul Society he purposefully stalled by taking them to a location away from the Karakura Town. Aizen even questioned that but Gin rubbed it off by saying it just happened.

@@laurentiu.f8804 the thing about Gin is that his obsession for revenge has twisted his personality into something cruel. He is *not* a good guy, he's not some simple double agent doing what he thinks is necessary to accomplish his task like Itachi or Snape. In the SS arc he taunted Rukia, giving her false hope that he'd rescue her and her friends just because he could, for a moment of perverse amusement. As for Hiyori, he doesn't give half a crap about her. He is going to kill Aizen and he will happily kill anyone in order to do so. The one exception being Ichigo because Ichigo could have been a very powerful ally who would drastically increase his chances of success. Well, Ichigo and Rangiku for obvious reasons. The obsession was so complete that it dictated the very name and nature of his Zanpakuto. Shinso= God Spear Kamishini no yari= God Killing Spear

To those who don't know or are still wondering, what Aizen took from Rangiku was a piece of her soul which was necessary for the creation of the Hogyoku. The reason why her soul was so necessary is because her soul had a piece of the soul king in it.

Mizuro is actually a pretty interesting character. Kubo released a chapter during the Soul Society arc about him (which got turned into an episode), explaining how he and his mother are on bad terms with each other and how he tries to experience that kind of connection by dating older women (at 15!). He then meets Chad and Ichigo while dealing with some thugs and he finally makes a true connection, expanding his world and caring more about his friends.

The main reason for GIN going down this path and plotting for decades against Aizen was because Aizen took a piece of Rangikus soul and fed it to the Hogokyou. This mans love for his baby girl was on another level.

I used to wonder why he didn’t go for Aizen earlier before he fused with the hogyoku but on rewatching this through your reactions I saw that scene where gin tells ichigo Aizen did it behind his back without him knowing. And as for why he didn’t just go for it any time earlier in all the years they knew each other he needed to be standing right next to him so he could touch the sword before Aizen could release and I guess Aizen never gave him a chance even after centuries. He said himself once he got the hogyoku he didn’t need to be careful anymore so he stopped being careful and gave him a shot but it was too late.

It makes you wonder if Gin could have succeeded if he'd tried sooner and his overly cautious nature (knowing he'd only get 1 chance) was ultimately the cause of his failure.

There should have been more backstory on Gin, his betrayal was a major part in the series and I feel they kinda brushes past it, it showed a short time of flashbacks in the series of Aizen and Gin, and I feel we still don't even really understand Gin properly, for example, it didn't show Gin (probably) thinking about all the times he could've been tempted to kill Aizen or that he missed/wanted to be normal, stuff like this wasn't shown, which was a shame, cuz it was the perfect time to lay it all on the table

Aizen fancized about himself becoming a God. Gin Ichimaru's Bankai: Kamishini no Yari = God Killing Spear. Aizen was destined to be killed by Gin Ichimaru.

Remember, the most recent arc released is the Hell arc, so it isn't unlikely that he will make a reappearance (like Ukitake). Since Gin is captain level, he would have been sent to hell after he died, but then a combination of Aizen and Yhwach led to the destabilization of the barriers and he could very easily be one of the characters who escapes.

Comment section tripping they really said Bleach was cancelled no it was just too close to the manga and kubo didnt want us to see more filler lol so he chose to end it the anime staff said it would return eventually and last year we got a 2020 Bleach announcement for the animes return plus Kubo is working on it and the anime is not being censored at all. Make sense since its a Blood War lol expect to see some crazy stuff.
