I am staying strong this season. Broke down a couple times but was very careful not to overdo it. I think I might try a batch of these though. Man, I love ginger. Maryann wasn't bad either, but ginger? Whoooo buddy!

Oooo. Gingerbread. Soft gingerbread.... One of my favourite non-chocolate things ever. I saw you were using powdered ginger, and was going to ask about using fresh, but then you busted out the candied ginger! This will definitely be a recipe I try! Cheers!

I don't know about candied ginger, but, I definitely like my pickled ginger. Never really had any ginger cookies that I recall, maybe a ginger bread man once or twice. More of a snicker-doodle family.

Thank you, I can't wait to try this recipe!!! I tried a different "soft & chewy" ginger molasses recipe for Christmas and they did not stay puffy. sure, everyone ate them up, but they were so thin and I was not pleased. I cannot wait to try your recipe. A couple questions from the NON-BAKER over here though: - do you whip butter for a bit first, and then add the sugars & molasses? - when you say 'beat' the eggs in, do I change the mixer tool from the paddle to the whisk? - I have read some recipes that put the dough in the fridge for 1 hr or so before balling. Do you need to do that with this recipe? Sorry, I guess that's more than a couple. Thanks! Keep rockin sistar!

Holy schmackers those look good. I want to EAT THEM ALL. I'd be surprised if the dough makes it to the cookie sheet if I were to make this recipe. :D

FRESH PRINCESS Grandma B was Icelandic so cookies like this and Vinatarta cake and cookies were a yearly thing. At the end of summer I would help man the hand grinder to grind up the prunes for the vinatarta filling then it would be aged till Yule. Neat thing with Grandma B. she celebrated both Yule and Christmas. Yule is almost upon it will be the longest night and the shortest day so lay in a good Yule log for the longest night so it will carry you into the birth of a new year... Blessings to you and Glen and please give Cody and family a big hug from Twinkle and I.

i like that you still cook or bake. with glutinous bake goods. its seems that glutin was turned in to a curse word over night. it is for those who are effected by it and everyone who can process it but jumped on that train for a fad trip. im a big oh fella. even spoiled foods won't upset my constitutions. not to say i dont come down with the schires from time to time. schires is a polite way to say what food poison does to a movement, like showers, but not. anyway its good to see, we who can proccess it, are being educated in ways it can be used. thank you.

+Dale Myers we've become sensitised for some reason? Agricultural practices? Breeding? Over consumption? I don't think it's wise to eat everyday, just as it's not wise to eat sugar every day. But during the holidays, I go for it.
@dalemyers50968 жыл бұрын
FRESH PRINCESS i understand some people are sensitive. but it seems so many are acting on a fad as moral support. i do like a fried large green shrimp with a gluton free breading. its delish. i eat it because its good. and its from a hole in the wall restaurant, lake todd fish camp. its on facebook if you find yourself in the kannapolis n.c. area and on n.c. highway 3 near Dale Earnhardt incorporated. i wonder if sensitivity is possible just verging diverticulitis or someone boarder borderline diverticuloses? or could it be psychosomatic. Indians nearing the age end of life cycle have gone off a willed themselves to death. and they die. just as some can will themself sick. not that they are or arent. a person might wonder why they aren't filling up to snuff. and then it escalates. ive done much the same if i get a moderate cut. i dont get queesy at the sight of blood. its like im easy to go into a state of shock. but i dont. thats the type of mental way to maniplate ones feeling of well-being or illness. and your an up beat positive person. i show outwardly that demeanor, but i dilute that to be more level headed. dang it i hate to ramble. but it takes it to make a statement to my liking. not that everyone understands me off the get go.
