Ginger could do it all. She was a class act and a warm and beautiful person to the end, even when the later years affected her mobility. Spent time in her company many times in the 70s, 80s. She is much missed.

How spectacular it is to have Ginger doing a number from MAME! I know this isn't Ginger in character and this version is far from the original concept but it's a fantastic number in its own right. It's really fun seeing those Fosse style dancers with her.

If you keep yourself on daily training you can dance indefinitely. There is no reason why a dancer can't dance way into their 80's.

I love Lucille Ball, but I feel Ginger should've done the 1974 film version of Mame. Gosh, there was no one else like Ms Rogers, was there?

Even though Ginger Rogers was the same age as Lucille Ball (but looked decades younger-no blurry screen required-could dance circles around her, could carry and interpret a tune successful, had an Academy Award to her name, could act comedy and drama she didn’t have $2 million dollars like Lucille Ball had so they went with an old woman who couldn’t sing or dance, couldn’t act the role and ruined the film. THAT’S HOLLYWOOD!!

A singer, she never was and here she can't dance anymore. You wonder why some talents don't retire before they tarnish their own legends.

I thought her voice sounded fine here, and she isn't doing the tough dance steps but she was quite a bit older here than when she did that kind of dancing.

Aren't you the same dubious "asset" who assailed Martin and Merman? Who the hell do you like? Taylor Swift? If you can't appreciate true greatness, just watch and comment on home improvement and weight loss videos.

She’s 60 here. You expect her to dance like 22 year old Ginger danced with 34 year old Fred? Also, by now she was likely diabetic and being a Christian Scientist refused medical care... her prerogative, but it is what killed her in her 80s. She likely had leg or foot nerve pain for many years before she fell down a flight of stairs and ended up in a wheel chair in her last few years. I hope you have as much energy at 60.

Yes she's 60 here and there's a clip of her doing Mame from a year-earlier dancing up a storm...fyi you do realize there are choreographers on these shows and back then sometimes they wanted the women to be Breezy and sort of float around, it was the Style after a big controversy where Mitzi Gaynor sweated it up on a guest appearance causing her dress to cling to her and make her cleavage shiny it was too sexy for the 60s all the other jumping around and undulating happened to the mid-to-late 70s. I saw Ginger Rogers ten years after this doing the flamenco. Even if they are a faded spark..which Ginger certainly was not true fans love to see their favorites. and I have to say that it still boggles my mind when people come out here to say bad things about someone's performance why did you come on to watch it the first place.? Thank you for posting I appreciate it and I enjoyed it thoroughly if you're a ginger fan look up Mame on KZbin you'll find a video with her doing the title number spectacularly

When you love what you do for as long and Ginger and other legends did, you don’t want to ever retire! Some people just love working so much that they keep going and the audience clearly loved her! Look at Carol Channing or Betty White they are/we’re still working! Even in their late 90’s they still love doing what they love! That is the true magic of show business! R.I.P Carol Channing and Ginger Rogers. 🤩🤗😍
