Thank you for the game and the exceptional Leningrad Dutch DVD. The thoroughness and depth of coverage of the DVD is exemplary. I can wholeheartedly recommend it as one of the finest opening DVDs ever produced.

The Dutch seems like a very dynamic opening with much potential.

It's become my choice as well, and I love it. I came to this decision before even knowing who GingerGM was, but his videos have been a great help in reinforcing the ideas that I've sussed out on my own. I think I'm a Dutch player for life now.

Boom! Have you played it since then? Your recent games seem to have mainly been classical or Christmas tree ? The thing is though Simon . Your play here is so brilliant that it doesn't convince me I should play the lenningrad. I understand your classical attacks much better

Simon, have you considered putting any of these dee vee dee's or your books out on Chessable? I don't know how the revenue works out for authors there compared to doing it on your own, but I really enjoy using their spaced repetition to practice and would love to work on the openings I've gotten from your DVD's like that

I love that site. Simon's style would come out really well, but bear in mind that he may well have exclusivity with the DVD makers causing a contractual clash.

Hi Simon, I have an important question: Is this the dutch defense proper?
@harshrajjadhav940
@harshrajjadhav940 4 жыл бұрын
Hmm this is the Leningrad Dutch, the proper dutch might be the classical of which gingergm is probably 'the' expert in the world.

After a certain level it is needed. The Leningrad doesnt have that many lines. For example the sicilian najdorf or the ruy lopez need prep of over 400 hours.
