I had a near death experience with very little Bible knowledge, I called out to God for help and he helped me. Personally I think we complicate God's principles and standards. Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved and I did . I was baptized in the name of the father , Son and Holy Ghost. As believers we need to be transformed by the renewing of our mind. We need to accept Christ as our Lord & Savior. As a child I was baptized but had no clue what I was doing. I still was acting crazy, later on as an adult I got baptized again. I can read in the Bible how the Apostles were baptizing others, using the phrase “in the name of Jesus Christ” or “in the name of Jesus.” Our baptism signifies our participation in His death, burial, and resurrection. The terms "Father," "Son," and "Holy Ghost" are titles; it’s important to note that the Father and the Holy Ghost did not die, nor were they buried or resurrected. The Father and the Holy Ghost are spirits, and only Jesus died for our sins. It was Jesus’ Father who raised Him from the dead. Gino does not believe that Jesus sits at the right hand of His Father, which makes his baptism meaningless as well.

The wonderful part about the baptism of our Messiah, is that all 3 were present for it. The Holy Spirit descended upon Him & GOD said, "This is my beloved son, in whom I'm well pleased." Either way, Denzel could've already received the Holy Spirit & decided that he wanted to make a public statement to everyone. Only he & GOD knows his heart. I pray that it was sincere, but only time will tell, as well as the fruits he produces. Not gonna hold my breath though. FATHER said that in end times, HE will pour out HIS Spirit on the world. It really doesn't matter, though I prefer that water baptism be in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. After all, water baptism is simply an outward sign of one's inward spiritual regeneration (showing one's death to the old man, and the rebirth of the inner man; buried with Jesus in baptism, and raised a new creature). "Jesus" is simply the name we use in the English language. And the Bible wasn't written in English but was "translated" for English speaking people to better comprehend, and the Bible was also translated into many other languages. We go from faith to faith. We grow in knowledge and faith. We know better, we must do better especially when more about God is revealed to us. Faith without works is dead. Greater knowledge of the scriptures means greater follow thru. The Apostles did say Be baptized and call the name of Jesus. I know many that were baptized again not because their first baptism had no conversion or show of their inward faith, but the 2nd was their own realization of what they came to understand and what they became convicted of on their own after reading how the early church baptized after the death and resurrection of Christ. Title baptism came into being through Catholicism. Let every man seek God in fear and trembling, not fear as in afraid, but reverent humility realizing we are all striving to see His face. I am grateful for Denzel and his steps in Christ. He is growing as we all are.

Why is this important? The original Hebrew given name means “HE BECAME SALVATION”. Meaning, Eyah (Father) became salvation. Eyahusha (Son) was born of the HOLY SPIRIT. Jennings is right in that the apostle' Acts says in the name of Jesus, which supersedes what Jesus says. In any event, Jesus in Matt 28 was talking about being immersed in the full bible, He wasnt talking about water baptism which is where the error of the church majority falls. However, Jennings is wrong in saying that the erroneous baptising in the 'trinity' does not equate to baptising in Jesus' name only, which it does, being that Jesus and the trinity are one in nature and substance. So, Jennings is flatly wrong in saying people will go to hell because, while trinity baptism is unbiblical and should be avoided, baptising in such way is theologically speaking the same thing which thus does not have to be re-done later in Jesus' name.

Wasnt Matthew part of the 11? If so Matthew was with Peter when he said to Repent in Acrs 2:38. I would think Matthew would have told Peter was incorrect. You need to be baptised in the name of Jesus. Father, Son, Holy Ghost are titles. Jesus means Jehovah is Salvation. I believe you have to be baptised in the name as you need yo be baptised with th understanding that Jesus alone is God, not a trinity. Trinity is another convo altogether.

What does it mean when a police officer says "Stop in the Name of the Law?" The thief was the actual figure to what water baptism represents. Going down in the likeness of his death, being crucified, to be raised in the likeness of his resurrection. If we use the thief for persons tdy, we'd have to do it exactly as it was done in scripture and get wood and nails.
