If anyone is wondering, Gino did do a few enemy and item randomizer attempts, his PB was 4 hits. But it isn't something he's trying to get, he's busy doing other runs. He does have an all bosses no death enemy and item randomizer run on this youtube page.

I'm pretty sure that hitting yourself with your own Night Maiden Mist or something like that does count, but I could be wrong. Mohg's Nihil attack also doesn't count as a hit. Fall damage doesn't count unless it kills you (it's not a no-damage run, just no hit).

Nice to see a Square off run. Criminally underrated ash of war. To those who are interested in using it, I'd recommend dual straightswords to fill in gaps in raw dps as the L1s are quite good and an elemental Misericorde for crirical strikes (usually fire or lightning, but pick accordingly). That way you bully the hell out of bosses, constantly getting staggers and huge ripostes.

1:00:04 personally, because i play on mouse and keyboard and to use the pouch you have to hold e and let go of the mouse to tap an arrow key which severely limits mobility by removing right movements and not being able to move the camera if needed to compensate for that by not being locked onto an enemy and turning around to go to the right if you were facing the enemy while the belt, you just tap the left or right arrow keys while keeping full mobility and while not needing the mouse if you have enemy lock. Plus just coordination wise, its easier having less buttons to think about than several. So, i just make sure i wont fumble too badly by putting only my flasks on my belt or if i am using a grease and have no room in the pouch it will go on my belt. My pouch usually consists of in my arrow key slots: any throwable i might use (dont use them often), Torrent, if i am using summons my chosen summon, and my hip lantern. In the extra 2 slots, if i feel its necessary to have them filled, usually have boluses, greases, or meatballs. If i ever use buff foods/items, its always straight from the inventory menu before a fight and if i really really need the buff(s) again, during long enough timeframes to reapply from the inventory screen Yes im sure there are better ways to set my stuff up but i primarily rely on dodging and my weapons almost exclusively so i dont feel the need to have anything better pouch and belt wise. And even more importantly, i rely on weapon pairings because i prefer dual wielding over single wielding or 2 handing weapons. Often the pairs are magic on the left and melee on the right or 2 melee of the same type or just complimentary weapons such as a colossal greatsword and a colossal weapon or a claw and a dagger or even compensating pairs such as a heavy weapon with a dagger. So unless you have anything to tell me about my preferred playing style that will improve it, dont come at me for my pouch/belt set up

Having never remotely tried to use keyboard in ER before, it feels like re-mapping wasd to middle of keyboard like rdfg as if you were playing a MMO would be the way to go. You could then re-map the arrow key commands to surrounding keys and never have to take your hand off the mouse. If you have a remotely customizable mouse, you could reprogram a thumb button as E possibly, so you could keep moving while accessing the pouch/take the pressure off your movement fingers. Like perhaps right thumb button pulls up pouch and vbnm (on rdfg) is hit by left thumb. Or any of qazwsx for pinky. It was pretty eye-opening just now seeing how awkward using the pouch is for m/b by default, yikes. But I'm also someone who always religiously rebound keyboard controls if a game allowed it - I'm entirely a controller gamer now due to health limitations.

@@dotgone i have found im most comfortable with arrows or wasd for movement and would have to base all my other keys off of that but ER messes with that by giving both function which feels needed one way or another for that limitation of only playing arrows or wasd. I am thinking of getting a controller because of games like ER but i still love my m/k gameplay for other games

@@dragonflower1497 I switched off using wasd over two decades ago once games started allowing it. I like rdfg for centering my finger on the notch, like I said having easier access to more hotkeys with pinky and thumb was a godsend in example WoW. Really a pain in immersive sim games where there's like 20 key bindings you have to change, though. Controller is really nice for a lot of games, and most modern games have reasonable support. I can't sit up at m/k for hours any longer so it's been nice. I even finally learned to play fps on a controller, which broke my brain for many years. If you get a controller, look into the modern ones that have buttons on the back of the controller like PS5, or Xbox x/s. I got a gamesir, and even if most games don't support the buttons except as remaps, it's really ergonomic for a lot of things. I made the right rear button be sprint for Elden ring, as it feels a lot better than holding the default sprint button.

I think the game registered that you still had the Black Knife top on upon entering the Pumpkinhead battle. So it caused him to act as though he couldn’t sense where you were, which would be the case with that armor on silencing your steps. At least, I’m PRETTY sure that’s what happened. It looks like you still technically have the armor on according to the game upon the boss activating, so it acted as though he couldn’t sense you. 😂 hard to tell but that’s my guess…

59:59 this is what i’ve been trying to say: pouch is infinitely better for heals. i can’t tell you the number of times i was trying to heal only to realize i was chugging blue instead of red. the belt is conditional. IF your belt is already set to red, press square and you’ll heal. IF it’s not, you have to hold down (provided you put heals in the first slot), THEN press square and you’ll heal. in a fight, that is too much uncertainty. yes, pouch requires two button presses, *but it’s always the same two buttons*. it’s not conditional, so you can work from muscle memory rather than having to peek at your belt to make sure you’re chugging the right thing. pouch heal supremacy all day

My suggestion for a randomizer run that would be more of a skill based run: Same kind of run as above, but you can only use the first smithing and somber smithing weapons you pick up as primary weapons. As long as you don't buy them from a shop.

About pouch usage and putting the flasks there, I think not many people know that holding down on d-Pad will automatically switch to first item of the list, so it's still pretty consistent if you put one of your flasks in usual tool belt, as long as it's the first used slot on the list. Same things goes to spells if anyone is wondering. Not sure about the weapons tho

I have idea for a video You get a number of quests when u start an Elden ring run but your equipment is random, after every quest it will randomise again, then when you have completed all the quests you can finish the game

@@prschorn It may be the hardest in terms of consistency, and knowing boss moves-sets, but the thing about randomizer no hit is you never know which boss will spawn in what area. That can make it way more challenging. Especially when duo bosses are randomized. Plus, since the weapons and everything are randomized you may not get that great of a weapon making the run even more difficult. That is why this randomizer challenge hasn’t been completed. You can hit sniped, or randomly hit out in the world when trying to set-up your character. That’s also what makes it so entertaining, in my opinion. Shit, sorry for the long comment. I didn’t realize, I was just typing away. 😆
