MG 3 just won best independent video at the European independent awards its a masterpiece

The captor in MG1 is Ren's friend/flatmate/bandmate Romain Axisa who you see in Ren and The Big Push band. Romain is a very good guitarist with a lovely singing voice as well. The video is a one-take filmed live by Samuel Perry-Falvey (took many attempts to get the one they were happy with) and was shot in the early hours of the morning under the Palace Pier in Brighton. Money Game 2 should be in every economics school curriculum. MG3 again is filmed live by Samuel albiet with a bigger budget, and has one cut during the wheelchair transition as they had to remove the lapel mic, waterproof it and place it in the knot of Ren's tie. As an aside MG3 has just won another award being winner at the ECU 2024 European Music Awards yesterday.

A few months ago, I eagerly brought MG2 to my 17 year old, thinking it would be his first time hearing it. To my surprise, he knew most of the words. When I asked why, he shrugged and said, “All my nerdy Econ friends love this song.” So that’s a high school in suburban Chicago. It’ll catch on with teachers soon…

I imagine many of the economics teachers will be embarrassed to hear this performance...considering the whole agenda of modern Western economic theory has been designed to promote the continued wealth transfer form the 99.09% to the 0.01%. Reagan, and successive governments, on both sides of the political spectrum, have championed the policies of tax-cuts for the wealthy, austerity for the masses, and the wholesale dismantling of social programs. This has resulted in a shrinking of the middle-classes, increased hardship for low-income citizens, and growing wealth inequality.

I'm so sorry about your brother. I love watching a reactor who gets it. Btw, earlier today, Ren and Sam won Best Music Video at the ECU, (European Independent Film Festival). Also, Ren won Best Music Video and Ren and Sam for Best Director at the International Music Video Awards with an honorable mention to Sam for cinematography a couple of months ago. There are 2 BTS's for MG3 a short version on Ren's channel and a longer one on The Wolf Johnson's channel who filmed it.

It's a big ooof in the thinkies and feelies. Ren has the courage to say the unsaid, put words to our thoughts, bring light to the dark ideas, to poke the bear. And he does it with both music and production genious. I knew you would share my awe when the quartet was revealed. There is at least one behind the scenes video out there that is worth watching to just see how the camera magic is done all in camera. Speaking of saying the unsaid, thank you for sharing about your brother. I can see some of your pain and I hope it helps to share its burden.

❤💜💙🔥🔥Great reaction as always. Part 1 is definitely metaphorical in some ways and open to interpretation in others. What I've found is that Ren is the oppressor, the people in power, Romain (his band mate and roommate) is the rest of us who are blind. He then draws eyes on him at the end so we can see what's going on. The ending may represent that he's looked in the mirror then burns himself in protest like the famous monk did.

If you are curious to know how Ren handles and mixes the audio in his live videos using cheap lapel mics (although in Money Game 3 he had the budget to use higher quality mics), you should check out the interview Ren did with "The Charismatic Voice" YT channel. They talk about how Ren manages to get the audio quality to be better than you would think is possible with lesser quality mics.

He was born in 79 and making little games on a computer my dad had (who worked at Texas instruments/later HP) by the time he was 3…He graduated high school when he was 17 and immediately went to DeVry (no summer break) where he ended up coding a program, had to explain it to his teacher and then after he passed away they were able to complete it and used it in classes.

I agree with his message with his of his MG trilogy of these three videos. My only nitpick is people who are wealthy who influence politicians for their special interests rare run for office themselves. They tend to donate, work through lobbyists, Political Action Committees (in the US) or work with heads of states to accomplish their goals. Usually is us desperate individuals with no resources who end up setting themselves on fire to bring attention to the issue. I can’t think of one those elites basic throwing a temper tantrum like a toddler except for one former POTUS who Ren was probably aiming at as well as UK politicians (Prime Minister an those in Parliament, Lords and Common). Even so Ren message if clear and well done. All three are definitely works of art worthy of being at Shakespeare level IMHO. My second quibble with Ren is those in power political or financial (with resources)rarely if at all are held accountable except maybe in military coups or or political revolutions. Congratulations to Ren and Sam on winning for Money Game 3. Sorry to hear about your brother. The grief never goes away you just learn ways to cope from missing them.

17:19 - he mentions “She sells sea shells” in Hi Ren and I take it as his “self doubt” side undermining his ego about this exact song. I think Ren was very proud of Money Game 2 and so in Hi Ren, his doubt tells him “you can’t be original, you even copied the sea shells line in the thing you are really proud of!” - and that’s the first moment in Hi Ren when his “ego” positive side reacts with anger with a “f’ck you! I don’t need you, I don’t need to hear this!” I think that’s because his doubt really got under his skin with that taunt about this track. Few reactors pick up the connection :)
