I love Ren’s strum sessions. However, what he says about Tony Blair having aspects of showing “humanity” is quite off base. Though Ren is right about him being a bell end. Sure he had charisma for some, but he was after all the massive war monger whose policies lead to so much destruction, who used his Catholic religious fervour to create division; and who invested in the very companies making profit out of the wars in the Middle East, as well as investing in the majorly over profiteering oil companies; and who started Britain on the path towards a semi privatised NHS by letting in private investment for profit - That Tony Blair?!

I don't think that what you describe wasn't what Ren was talking about. I would wager it was the charisma he meant by that statement. So don't just assume things you are not sure about.

@@Hexenkind1 What I am not sure about? I think I am sure, Ren was talking about Tony Blair being the last UK politician to show some aspects of humanness. My point is Tony Blair may have tried to demonstrate humanness on the surface, but in reality had very little humanity in actuality. I think Ren knows perfectly well what Tony Blair, like all politicians, are like because Ren is in general a very clever well read and informed person who makes a real effort to consider his views.

We are always way to quick to judge with our opinions and I think we cannot be sure in what aspect he saw him like that because he did not elaborate further. That is all I am saying. So if you think that Ren would endorse all of those things after you got to know his stance on many issues, I am seriously questioning your judgement on this.

My point was about the ethnic and humanity of Mr Blair, not about Ren’s view on any of the matters I mentioned. Just the ethics of what constitutes humanity in politics; and that was all.
