Not sure why they gave gio a point on that first call. Technically a player is allowed to position themselves as the ball is traveling towards the wall. Obviously, you can’t stop your body in motion due to the laws of inertia once contact is made with the ball...

Yea it was a boxout. Gio ran into tywan while he stood still after his shot.

@@marcouzumaki7819 Tywan clearly continued moving forward after he hit the shot, and his forward motion caused him to collide with Gio when he tried to take the most direct available route to the the ball when it was hit. AFAIK that's a textbook block. From my experience playing casual matches, we'd just replay the point. It makes sense why they can't handle it that way during tournaments though.

I know it’s always said but man if gio could just control his emotions and mentally stay in the game he would be unbeatable.. talent wise he is the most skilled player i’ve ever seen but time and time again he beats himself

First to 21 wins. Only the server can score. Ball may only bounce once, though it does not have to bounce if you want to charge it off the air. When the server loses volley (called a 'down'), he becomes returner. Red lines are the dimensions of the 'in' zone of the court. Any shots that take a first bounce outside of the lines is 'out' resulting in a point for the server or a 'down.' The red line closest to the wall is a short line. All serves must clear that line before they bounce or it is a service fault, like hitting the net in tennis.

If a player moves during his opponent's turn to hit the ball, that opponent can call 'blocks' or 'hold it' to reset the volley. Shit talking is mandatory.

Bad bad call for the second point..clear cross hit..bad calls throughout the game..can’t cheer because you can concentrate people can cheer for you..I remember playing in vancortlandt and west 4 smashing people making grown men cry over a game..smh it’s just a game

That first call by Gio and the refs was ridiculous, how else is Tywan supposed to finish his shot? Over-all great game, Tywan didn't feed into Gio's antics. When you make enough quality shots in the game and take the game too and from Gio, there's nothing left for him to do but to surrender to the L.
