You want to live longer? stop eating all seed oils which are toxic and rancid and cause inflammation in the body and instead use pasture raised lard, ghee, butter, and virgin coconut oil or a good cold extracted virgin olive oil. Avoid statins as it reduces the necessary cholesterol the brain needs to prevent dementia and Alzheimer’s. The brain is made of at least 80 cholesterol -hormone. A healthy brain needs cholesterol to be healthy. Reduce sugar consumption. Fats are healthier for you than sugar. Eat pasture raised eggs which lowers cholesterol. It’s unfortunate that big Pharma has been misinforming humanity about good nutrition bc it’s about profits over health.

You might try taking some "evening primrose". Its a natural supplement that calms anxiety. If you are currently being treated for anxiety, ask your doctor before doing so, as there might be some negative interactions with medications. Please feel better! How did your Tomasini turn out?

I made Tomasini today for the first time, my Christmas savory. I'm on a low carb diet, so I have to confess my pastry was fake. Still, they were delicious for the blend of Ricotta and Italian sausage, both the taste and the texture. Thank you for the recipe and inspiration.

Thank you Giovanna, never really got the chance to cook with my Italian grandmother back when she was alive and I was in my 20s. You don't look or sound anything like her but it brings back memories of watching her cook and the wonderful smells. For a while on my mom's side of the family that grandma's cooking gene was attached to the hair gene. if you had the wavy/curly unruly hair than you also inherited he cooking skills. Hehe now I'm about the same age she was when I had my first real memory of her. My parents had moved out of state because of my dad's job , came back for the holidays and grandma's dining room table was full of pizzelles, the whole house smelling wonderful. I can't stand black licorice but anise used well in recopies can be a good thing.

I so admire your teaching skill! You think of everything! I have always told my own students about the amazing artist that I met on the 17th floor of Riverside Church; one of us on maternity leave from Bronx Science, one of us on her day off from Radio City. Every week brought new anecdotes and issues, (sadly our actual teacher was quite boring) as I absorbed your love of teaching. Cooking, fiber, horticulture, artifacts...all taught by a master. Two more years 'til our fiftieth💫

@soundguydon Жыл бұрын
@@woofljh They *are* good.. But they definitely need to be salted. The crust was a bit tough for my liking, so next time I think I'll salt both the dough and the cheese ( as well as add basil or something to the cheese.) The recipe gave me so many ideas though: Puff pastry pockets filled with the mixture is just one of the things I want to try.

At first, they reminded me of "pizza buns", which was something my mom used to bake when I was younger. They were made with bacon and some regular cheese in them. Seasoned with oregano, But this looks authentic and even tastier! I find that salsiccia, at least the ones I cook with, has the right mix of herbs. Just imagining how it would taste in a bun...
