Polyamory! It's not uncommon to love multiple people at the same time. Loving two people doesn't mean you love one more than the other, and can't love both equally as much for the different and unique fulfillments that they offer you. Like Loni said, it isn't traditional, but just because you might not ever be able to imagine yourself falling in love with two people, that doesn't mean you can't still be open-minded and accept that there are people out there who love differently than you do.

No such thing as "in love". In love is a description people use for, "infatuated". Real love is dedication, maturity and selflessness. You don't "FALL" into that. It's a conscious decision. Doing anything else is ultimately self-serving and will always cause division and disconnection. At the end of the day, it will not allow for true fulfillment. Lasting, connections and relationships do not happen as a result of disrespectful behavior that doesn't uphold your partner.

I used to think what Adrienne thinks - that if you truly love someone, no one can compete. I was also very young and naive at the time - and in fact getting married to a man who would end up really hurting and disappointing me and I was doing mental gymnastics to stay 'loyal' in my heart. As you age, you do learn that you can love more than one person. As you gain experience, your idea of love changes and you meet more special people - that's just basic maths. It is a luxury to find two special people, not a shameful thing. We need to stop looking at love as a medieval survival contract and see it as something fluent and ever changing.

If you go on to fall in love with a 2nd person then that means you were never really in love with the first person. You may love the first person, but you're not IN LOVE with that person. In society they make you believe a soul mate is a romantic partner but soulmates can be found in your friend, your dog, your grandma, your aunty, your uncle, your parents. The list goes on. A soulmate is someone that just gets in on another level and you are familiar with eachother almost like youve spent a previous life with them. They can come in any form they are not physical but as the term "soul"mate has , a soul.

One man one woman that's God's plan from the beginning all the other stuff eventually leads to heartbreak and confusion. 'A soul mate' should not be limited to a marriage setting or a opposite sex relationships/dating. Your mum can be your 'soul mate', your sister, a friend, etc. can be your 'soul mates'. It is more like a twin, not of your physical body but of your soul. What then is your soul? This is the culmination of the interconnection of the brain in action(mind), the way you reason, your proclivities or natural inclinations. Thus, a person regarded as a 'soul mate' is one that the aforementioned aspects of his soul is in harmony with yours. For instance, in a typical conversation with him or her, it is as if you guys are reading each one's thought.

Months prior to dating.. I created a list with about ten practical things on it stating exactly what I wanted in a man. So when I was down to 3 people but couldn't choose, I chose based off of who checked off most on my list, whose conversation was always gravitating/interesting, & who the zodiac showed I would be most capable with. I'm a Libra (air) & they say air and fire go best together & Earth and Water go best. The 3 guys were a Capricorn (Earth), Aries (Fire), Taurus ( Earth). I ended up choosing the Aries. He matched literally everything on my list, we spoke all day everyday before our first date & he was most compatible with with me as far as the elements goes. We are now married with a baby on the way. Long story but I hope it helps someone out there. Much Love 🤎

We are all polyamorous. We love multiple people at the same time, all the time - family, friends, children, colleagues and yes, even romantic partners. However, we are socially conditioned to choose and love just one romantic partner. I think as a child of immigrants and someone who was only 4 when the housing crisis started, my older sister quickly became everything my parents were supposed to be. They couldn’t always be there and we really raised each other. She raised me to be what she thought was good in a man and I raised her to be like what I thought the perfect woman was. Sure we were young but we had older cousins who were and are like siblings to us and that’s how we based off the perfect man/woman was. She was the first family I came out to and I knew she wouldn’t love me any differently. We both know that we are each other’s soulmates are always super close. My parents love it but then it becomes hard because we have a brother that’s 8 years younger than me and he could NEVER have the relationship that we have with us even though we love him so much.

Honestly... This is The REAL , so I’m gonna be real for a second... now , sometimes we THINK we are in love because we think these people both have something to offer... when in reality one probably has more red flags than the other and etc. because we feel infatuated with the fact that hey both of them of like me... what do I do? And you're stuck with a broken heart either way because you could be choosing " the love of your life " but you wasted time trying to see which guy or girl was the one! There shouldn't even be another person to CHOOSE with anyway...

Myronn Coleman I 💯 agree with you! I’m married, but I met someone unexpectedly and we vibe so much. He has made it clear he wants me but I don’t see an honest future with him because he’s married too and why is he talking to me, feel me? I’m human and I do find him attractive but I can’t see myself ruining what I have for him.

Oh Loni. The movie Terms of Endearment: Debra Winger's character died, not Shirley Maclaine. :)

Polyamory is something that exists and is valid but it has to be something that everyone is on board with I know someone who is in a Poly and they have children and are thriving. Idk life is strange sometimes and it’s different strokes for different folks.

My opinion is gonna be unpopular, but I'd probably just walk away from both. I can't be pulled left and right.

Go with the 2nd person, because if you were in love the first time you would never have fallen for the 2nd person

Soulmates for a season...YES. There are a billion people in this world and you think there’s only one person out there for you? Lies. Timing, placement, and whatever else, is involved in your relationship. If you moved across the world you might still find your soulmate lol.

See Jeannie coined the term "conundrum" first in the show and not Amanda. But Amanda brought the big words to the Real. 👍

Jeannie, knew that her marriage wasn't going to work, on her own admission. So I don't know why she is lying right now

Sometimes you know it won't work but you love that person so much you just keep praying that it really do work. Some time you just grow apart.

Just because it didn't work, or knew that it wasn't going to work doesn't mean that you didn't feel and belive that it was...for that time being.

I know. She said she A) knew it wasnt gonna work before they were even married and B) she stopped loving him a long time ago. I find it hard to believe her on anything considering how she has always treated her and Freddie's relationship.

There is no such thing. Either that man is in love with one chick and lustful for the other or he was never in love with neither to begin with. If you feel like you need to fight for his attention and love then he is not the one. If a man is truly in love with you he will not confuse you and he will make sure that you know that he is love with you. His actions will show it.

Yes you can love two people.. You choose the person that diserves it. You can be with soneone.. Like if you have two baby fathers.. One did you wrong.. You love him but its over.. The other one isnt even in competition.. You just love 2 people.. But that doesnt mean you have to be confused .. You can love 2 people and be absolutely not confused at all.. Maybe you love 2 people and dont even have to choose and are not even choosing at all. .. Loving 2 people at the same time doesnt have to be confusing all the time.. And it doesnt even mean its a competition at all.

Where do ppl get their facts though? Who actually stated that it is a FACT that you can’t be in love with two people? We honestly don’t know what’s the real and fact thing. We don’t know, we can’t control feelings you know?
