I think I have the perfect solution to the boots scenario. The husband should steal/sneak the boots back home from his Mom. Then the wife can show up WEARING the boots. If the mother in law asks, “hey you are wearing my boots” she will say “oh no these are mine. Remember we asked you about them? We FOUND them in the house.” The mother in law can’t say she stole them back because it would be admitting she stole them in the first place. Checkmate.

Idk if it's just me, but I would never have birthday parties on my actual day. My parents would always celebrate it on the weekend before if it falls on a weekday, due to school and the family's schedule. You don't have to lie to your kids about it.

I feel that it shouldn’t become a habit to lie to your kids. You want to instruct them in the good things and not to do the bad things. If you want to raise an honest child; you have to be an honest parent. My parents never lied to me about any fictional evil witch, tooth fairy, or any dumb folk tale to get me to eat my veggies or to behave. Mom said that lying to us about ghosts and this or that; would cause phobias and unnecessary fears later on. Mom tried as best as she could to explain everything with as much honesty as she could -baring in mind that I was still a kid. Mom and dad tried their best to always keep it honest with my sister and I, about most things, and on the little things that were too much for us to know at that age; they’d just not talk about it in front of us. They never discussed money problems, family problems, never gossiped and never mentioned anything that they didn’t want for us to know, in front of us, but when I would come up with a tricky question about whatever; they would always -mom especially, would try to explain it to me with honesty. Now as an adult, I HATE lying and when people lie. I appreciate honesty a lot because of that. Teach your kids with honesty and remember that they’re still humans that deserve to be regarded with respect and with integrity, regardless of how young they are or not. Just because your little children don’t know much about life; should you really be lying to them left and right? With what face will you stand before them later on in life; demanding honesty from them, when you were never honest yourself to begin with. Honesty is the best way

My aunts mother in law was watching my cousins and they stayed over at her house for the night. She fed them Pepsi and cheese puffs for breakfast. Her excuse was “that’s what they said they wanted”. They were only 3 and 4 at the time. When they were still on bottles my aunt would drop them off at her house for a little bit on occasion with all of the necessary bottles and a filet bag. She would make them formula because she thought that they were still hungry ( my aunt would only give them breast milk). HOW RUDE.

The reason some guys don't get pedicures is because some guys think it is gay or unmanly. I'm a straight guy who occasionally since I work barefoot or in flip flops as a writer and copywriter so I don't gave any set attire, but worth making sure they are up to date even though I have big feet (size 13). I personally take care of mine since I am always out and about and highly worth it.
