The tradition of catching the bouquet was so REAL to me too! I caught mine at my sister's wedding and my dad called for it and prayed over it. I got married next. Then at my wedding my friend who caught mine got married next. And then at her wedding the next friend that caught it got married next and then one more catch and she too got married next! True story guys! The bouquet had 5 levels of brides!!

Some were okay with the idea of sharing the day themselves if it was someone close to them personally. They were fine with a proposal at a birthday party. They weren't fine with a pregnancy announcement at a baby shower. Idk why it was confusing but apparently it was.

My cousin announced her pregnancy at my wedding. We have a huge family spread all over, and we rarely get to be all together. She very subtly informed everyone, but it took no attention away from me and my day. Everyone knew they had flown in for me. I was told about it the next morning. The only thing that bummed me out was that they'd already taken off for their flight, and I couldn't congratulate her and her husband!

V Lo like I said, I love travel - (and am incredibly stubborn) so if I want something bad enough - sweetie, I’m going to find a way to get it on my own - whatever means necessary. So to properly respond to to your comment; in the case that that was the situation; like I said in the original post - I would just buy the ticket out of my own pocket. I have savings just for plane tickets, so it wouldn’t be an issue for me 🤷🏽‍♀️ Btw, I also work for a financial institution and have situations to travel for work - so if I had the means, I would do everything in my power to bring my boyfriend/ husband along with me. *I’m not one of those über traditional women who thinks my man should pay for everything for me. I have absolutely no problem paying for my man if the situation warrants it*
