Can we start a stretch marks thread? We can show the younger girls on here how normal it is. I've recently gained weight (which is absolutely fine) and I've got them on my upper arms, upper back, lower back, and inner thighs. I honestly think the biggest step to body confidence is just body acceptance. You have your body and only your body, so treat it as best you can. ❤️

i gained weight after recovering from an eating disorder but am learning to love them and the body that i have now as a stronger individual, and seeing everyone else being empowered (comments like yours) makes me feel so much better !! it needs to be normalised period x

I have them on my inner thigh, underarms, bum&hips, they was really red but now they’re hardly visible! My boyfriend is also super slim and has them allover his back just from growing. So normal! They should never been seen as anything but beautiful ❤️

Only just watching this as only found Soph and Emma. I started my period at 9! Very young I cried to my dad thinking I was dying lol as I had no idea what a period was. Stretch marks are so normal and it doesn’t matter size you are some people are small and get stretch marks where some people are bigger and don’t get them, sometimes it’s just the way your body and skin are.

I grew a lot when I was 13-14 so I have stretch marks on my hips and lower back. I'm about 183 cm tall and I really don't mind my stretch marks because I think my height is one of my best features😊

Plus size doesn't equate to "fat" or "obese"... plus size is literally any size bigger than a 14/16. Anna is plus size. Yes she has a flat stomach and a stunning figure, but she is *very* hour glass so would have to wear a larger size. She has large breasts and an amazing curvy lower half so she has to wear probably a 14 to fit her curves. People need to realise plus size doesn't mean "fat".

Katie x it’s not contradictory... plus size doesn’t mean fat. Plus size means 14/16+ and Anna has such wide curves that she probably does wear a 14 to fit them. I’m not quite sure what you found contradictory. As Soph said, she has “Kim Kardashian” curves, and those curves are wide set, Kim’s not fat but she definitely wouldn’t fit a size 10/12 garment.

I think the problem with it really is that lets argue that she is plus size but she's not a natural looking, average plus size build which yes may be very curvy however her body doesn't seem natural or attainable and therefore is just as toxic as having the whole cast be a size six. I feel that the term "plus size" in mainstream media is a bit of a buzz word and any way a size 12-16 ish is more of a mid size range not plus size
