Girlfriend Races My Duramax at The Outlaw Hood Track! (Talking Trash and Boosted 4x4 Launches)

The day has finally come.. after several times watching and riding with me Logan steps up to learn how to race! Her first time racing anything ever and its at the Peoples Track...in my LBZ Duramax "Elvis".. ready to rock in 4hi. She wastes no time gaining confidence and talking smack to some of the other daily drivers. We also link up with Home Depot with the nitrous stepside Silverado, Murda from Twitch races his Mercedes SL550, and some various other interesting races in between. We even heard some gunshots in close proximity but that didn't stop her!

My advice is not worrying about the other guy. I never even look their direction. You will beat them or you won't, looking is only distracting you. Never lift inless its for safety reasons. Get a full pass on every slip and always try and beat yourself. Also... Please get a Helmet. Seatbelts everytime your door closes. You got this. 👍

My first time on a drag strip I took my brand new R6 I bought back in 04. Had no idea how it was gonna go. After 2 test passes I dialed in at 11.59 and ran an 11.62 at 128 in the quarter. Ended up winning the trophy class and couldn't figure out how to get the actual trophy for winning home on the motorcycle. Logan did awesome for her first time!

My first pass, I ended up going to the track by myself, had been a lot to watch, finally got my car to a point I could race it. I was expecting a low 13 second pass in the 1/4 and did a mid 14 second pass. I was deflated and clearly had a lot to learn. Lol. I love it and now my daughter is learning to race too. So much fun!!! Grew up around race tracks. My dad was a bracket racer. My first trip down the track. 16 years old, 1980, Ex outlaw Camaro pro stock detuned to run Pro Gas. Did my burn out, backed up, left the clutch flite (Poor mans Lenco) in reverse while doing my chirp. Damn near ran into the car behind me. My dad stood there and laughed. Staged, launched and ran a 10:08 in the quarter. Two months later, the FEDS arrested half of my family. They ran chop shops. Had to sell everything to pay for the lawyers. Built a big block Camaro street car the next year. Made a little money. Joined the Navy the following year. My time at the drag strip was the best time of my life. Never forgot it. Congrats to your girl. She did awesome. It's not as easy as everyone thinks it is.

My first time down the strip was in my twin brothers 1990 vw corrado, 1.8t swapped, lots of work. He made a bunch of passes and couldn't get passed a 14.5, coil pack and injector issues. He careful took his wrist band off, slipped on my hand, and sent it. Went 14.3 my first pass and he was pissed lmao. It's the same as what u see on tv but the feeling is way more intense.

Had a typical Cuh BMW, "FBO" on one of my e40 tunes.. Let my girlfriend drive it, evidently she had been paying attention.. knew when the chargers were gonna light and when it tried to haze the tires- she lifted. I was, and am still, impressed. Also, my first pass on a track was in a $200 vert Fox body with a AOD/2.73 gear, 150 shot through a 302, and trying to get it to the ground on 235 tires. Funnest 9 seconds you can have in the 1/8 mile.. every there hated me because I was melting off a hard tire down the track.

Great job Logan. Never drag raced but first time on a circuit, i warmed the tyres but not the brakes, i went wide the first turn, wide the second and 2 wheels in the "kittylitter" on the 3rd turn. First time is never easy.
