DS2 was really heavy handed with bosses. I think there's like 40 in total. That's why DS2 is the only game in the series where I ignore and run past most mobs. If you treat it like a gigantic boss rush, it significantly cuts your play time and you'll still get plenty of souls for that stupid Soul Memory mechanic that ruined PvP

Honestly, for a while now I've recognized your [rather quick] shift from "oblivious, sweet girlfriend" to an engaged girlfriend who just "gets it" without having to ask too many questions. I think a lot of guys flocked to your channel for the former personality, not because it's better, but because it's more relatable. 99% of the women we date don't see any value in video games. They think they are a waste of time and/or just indulge us because they care about us. To a lot of men, that trope is more realistic and common. The fact that people are claiming that this channel has "changed" or "gotten serious" as a reason to unsubscribe or stop watching is ridiculous. Look, no one can tell what you what to like or watch. Unsubscribe if you need to. But what you don't get to do is hide behind an excuse that is objectively and patently untrue. This has always been a game review channel. Whether it was from the perspective of a "backseat gamer" or not, GFR has always broken down and analyzed the same critical aspects of games that any reviewer - whether amateur or professional - would examine. In their first video about RDR2, Shelby talks about the scenery, cinematography, voice acting, and overall plot of the game - all aspects that any game review channel would analyze. The top comment on that video is, "Wow, this is a really funny and smart way to disguise a game review," and it was liked by GFR. Their style has been consistent since their first video so the claim that they've "changed" just simply isn't valid. Again, no one can tell you what to like. Leave the channel if you want. But do yourself a favor and be honest with yourself. You left because you disagreed with them (probably on the TLOU2 review) and it upset you that they didn't see things the way you did. No one can take that away from you and that's fine. But you don't get to make objectively false statements on your way out the door.

@@kushplush6366 I think that's a fair way to sum up the channel. I'd also say that their reviews are different because they try to analyze what the game devs wanted to accomplish with their games and whether they were successful at conveying that message or not (e.g. check out their Death Stranding and TLOU2 Reviews). Many game review channels review from a perspective of "did I enjoy the game or not", and if the answer is "no", then they tend to highlight all the negative aspects of the game in their review and say it was bad. If it was good, they do the opposite. GFR takes an objective view and discusses whether the game actually achieved its goals, and then they talk about whether they enjoyed it or not with all the comedic relief attached. Also, you'll find that Matt has the sickest references bro, they're seriously out of control, everyone knows that. Enjoy the channel!
