At the risk of sounding an old fart, which off course I am. I'm absolutely astonished and jumping for joy, even got the wife in to witness what your up to, at your fortitude and resolve. It's so refreshing, amazing, takes me back to a time way back and makes me smile. I still get out and about but nowhere near as when younger but there again I do ok. Similar background to you, road running, fell running in GB and abroad Ben Nevis mountain race where your videos were recorded. I was hut warden for years in Capel curig North Wales and I know how comfortable it is after camping in the rain. But we challenge ourselves and our equipment. Bushcraft since I was 12yrs old but I'm doing more of that now I'm 68yrs old. I've subscribed to your channel and bye the way my children have followed in my footsteps. I was in mountain rescue for years also and really pleased young people like yourself are enjoying the wild outdoors. You can inspire more young ladies to do the same.

An amazing film again.The deer around there are well known for coming up to people looking for food,(but please don't feed them, they are wild animals and if they become reliant on hand outs from people they have to be culled). When you go back you might want to get up into the hills, it's a completely different world up there, it's absolutely amazing and I am sure you would absolutely love it.Thank you so much for all your very hard work making your brilliant films, keep up the great work and haste ye back.

it has been years since i went to Scotland. I mainly stopped off somewhere between Arisaig and Mallaig on the coast it was beautiful and peaceful too.

I see you got taste of the legendary "hiker hunger" everyine struggles with how much. What kind of food to take on hiking trips were a resupply isn't nearby. Absolutely love it. I have a tradition of a week-long camping trip over Thanksgiving and go by myself. I use that time to recharge, gather myself and do some good old fashioned self-reflection. The place I go, which is a state park to be fair, has no cell service so it is just me, some books and a relaxing week of calm and quiet. Your trip is far better than mine though. Very proud of you and have loads of respect.

About the deer part i don't know what to say, animals aren't afraid of ladies, i remember when i was younger, a gazelle came up to my mom and i was a couple of steps back but when i reached where my mom was the gazelle jumped in the bushes and we didn't see it again, any way am happy to see you had a great time

The simple cottage is quite homey downstairs...but the sleeping attic was grim! There is nothing that heightens appreciation of comforts than a period without them. I very much enjoyed live flame fires when we had a fireplace.

Just finished cooking a skillet of food in my own little cabin here in Australia and settled down to watch your video, as there's something satisfying and cozy about watching such content whilst enjoying the warmth of a hot meal. You have such a wonderful spirit and sense of adventure that is well matched by such beautiful surroundings. I remember watching one of your videos, about you wondering what you'd like to do in life, and I thought at the time that perhaps taking up one of the courses/apprenticeships in Scotland to become a ranger or gamekeeper may well suit you.
