Word! If she had managed TLC unlike Perri Reid aka Pebbles they wouldn't have had so many problems. Hilary managed Banarama as well so she knew her stuff. She really took care of them which is saying alot considering so many Managers "Screwed" over their Stars. Did you see how Nikk Mager from Phixx & Daniel Pearce from One True Voice auditioned on The X Factor and had Cheryl as a Judge. I would have been a mess if I were her. I made it and these guys were trying so hard to make it. Sean Conlon (Five) also went on The Voice and nobody turned their chair for him.

Here's an eerie fact. Sarah Harding auditioned on August 16th 2002 which was the same day that Elvis Presley died in 1977 as did Aretha Franklin (RIP), who also used The Sweet Inspirations as their backing Group. It was the day that Madonna was born in 1958, and Pete Best got fired from The Beatles in 1962. The Jackson Five made their Concert debut as the opening Act for Diana Ross & The Supremes in 1969.

If there was a "Pop Equivalent" of a Cinderella Story it would be them. Did you know that Sarah Harding was voted into The Group Two Days "Before" her Birthday. I was perplexed at why she did the "Ugly Cry" but you'd be pretty overwhelmed if you went through as much as you did to get into the Group.

This show is 180% from The US Shows like VH1's Behind The Music where the storyline is the same. Grew up in Poverty, paid dues, became famous, an addict, alcoholic, broke and had to rework to get back to the Top. There's a US Network called Centric which is an African American Cable where they have a Segment called "Unsung" where they do profiles on R & B Singers and their lives were so tragic. From Florence Ballard Of The Supremes, Debarge, Disco Singer Evelyn "Champagne" King amongst others. They must have had some amazing folks to help them stay humble because in a Business like that, keeping your sanity is very hard.

Looking back, I don't think Pete Waterman could have predicted how big they were. It's ironic. In 2001 Steps break up in December and then a Year Later, Girls Aloud have The Number One Song In The Country. They are also in the US Edition of The Guinness Book Of World Records as the Group with the most consecutive Top Tens.

Good for all of them. I'm sure after seeing what happened to The Spice Girls as well as the US Girl Groups like TLC, Xscape and The "Original" Destiny's Child they didn't want to go downhill like many of them did. They all take turns which I think is very important.

@@josephprendergast2 Yes. The Girl Group/Boy Band in The UK is so lucky because there's always a Supply/Demand for them. In the US it dried up in 2002 and even 5th Harmony aren't together anymore. If it weren't for KZbin I wouldn't know who they were from Adam.

Pete Waterman did the same thing that Maurice Starr (whose real Name is Larry Johnson) as well as Lou Pearlman who believed that because they hit Paydirt with New Kids On The Block, New Edition, N'Sync & The Backstreet Boys his next group would be big because he was on such a high and keep in mind that Steps had broken up The Year Before. It didn't happen and even now he hasn't found a successful Boyband/Girlgroup.

If One True Voice's Song was a Bee Gees Song, it was career suicide. They had a lot of Hit Records but by today's standards, they are not Hip. Also, sadly enough with these Reality Shows, after the Show ends and the Group get out of the Number One Spot, it's pretty much over. I remember reading The US Teen Magazine J-14 (Just For Teens) and Eden's Crush (US Popstars) were only featured in Two Issues and that was it.

They had Xenomania who was to them what Motown was To The Supremes, most notably Holland/Dozier/Holland or what The Brill Building was to The Chiffons, Crystals, Dixie Cups, Ronettes, Shangri-Las, and Shirelles, what Dallas Austin was to TLC, or even what Denzel Foster was to En Vogue. A Successful Songwriting Team who wrote or Co-Wrote every Single Hit that they had.

Also The Bee Gees are in and out and in and out. If they got a "Fresh" Song it would have made a world of difference. Steps did Tragedy and Chic's Everybody Dance as well as Chain Reaction and they were hits.
