Not sure if you knew the lady with the short hair Sunny is the niece of Lee Soo-man. Her father's younger brother is the Founder and Chairman of SM Entertainment, the company that bears his name. Sunny is also well known for being the "Queen of Aegyo". Just check out the music videos "Gee" and "Oh!" for her aegyo charms.

The Boys was always more about making a statement, than listenability. GG peaked in 2009 with Gee and by 2011, everyone knew they ruled the industry. This was their way of owning that. Some of their title songs that you might appreciate more would be Mr Mr, You Think, Run Devil Run, Gee, Lion Heart and Genie. I definitely don't think this song would work today. The whole 'boys' angle was forced into the equation to not make it obvious that this was kind of a feminist anthem, because I don't think S.Korea would have been ready for it at that point. Also, before reacting to an SNSD guide, you should react to the video series 'it's been 15 years and SNSD is still the same.' One of the big reasons why people loved SNSD was because they've all got very strong personalities and are genuinely hilarious.

The very first video back in 2012 which was the beginning for me to know many things about Korea, especially celebrities, just because they have appeared with SNSD in shows or movies or anything. At first I couldn't tell them apart from each other but the one with short hair and her name made me immediately remember and recognize her in other SNSD videos. The more I know about them (and Sunny who is my bias until now) the more I love them. They're kind of make me not interested in seeing other groups besides them. Their performances were Amazing.

You say it won't work because you don't know Snsd. Snsd never played by the rules and set their own. Snsd set a completely different tone from GOT. People were disappointed at what SM did with the talent they had with GOT and the song choice. The song was horrible for the legend that GOT could've been. That song was more aespa vibes than anything else. BoA, Snsd ReVe are powerhouse. A song with more substance would've been better. Even their latest track Stamp On It was bad song choice. It wasn't the context but the production itself. For me it's more trying too hard to be cool when the group had literally legends. It would've been a better choice for rookies who wanted to proof themselves. Also another thing that I wasn't for is that aespa was apart of sure lineup.
