It's funny you said Kpop don't care about knees. The short blonde haired girl (Sunny) in this MV almost lost her career due to her knee injuries. She had joint effusion (water over her knees) her entire career, got worst over time and failed her in 2014-2015. She had to do surgery on both. Her dancing wasn't the same for their next comebacks and concerts that following. She had to give up many activities to fully recover and there are videos of her limping onstage or relying on staff support to exist stage following a performance. It took her years to recover but now she's back to her old self and dancing like they just debuted.

Usually when a kpop group have a comeback or releases a new single, there is a concept that goes with it; 80s, disco, 50s, heartthrob, vixen, biker, etc. They'll do the makeup, wardrobe, music videos, etc. SNSD has always been known to be one of those groups that managed to pull off so many different concepts. And unfortunately also more rare than that... they're one of the few groups where most members actually have good vocals. This was from a golden era where vocals and tones were still appreciated as much as musicality and beat-making. You'll see with upcoming MVs, I'm looking forward to see your reactions :)

Fun fact: Girls' Generation also has an English version of "The Boys." This song was part of their American debut in 2011 and it was included on their English album that was designed specifically for the American market.
