GIRLS ONLY?... Rainbow Beach Adventure Ride

In this episode we are hitting a local favourite and doing an adventure ride up to Rainbow Beach and Double Island Point. This ride is full of amazing beaches, ocean views and lots and lots of sand!
However, this ride is a little different as it was only Mum and I on the bikes, as my Dad is out of action following surgery.
You can't get much better than riding you bike on the beach!

Yes the 450MT is a great bike, just needs decent tyres and it goes anywhere it would be a good choice. I love mine so far, doing a big trip on it next week which will test it out.

Stand up in the soft sand. Move to the rear slightly so the front wheel can float, Elbows up/out,(hold grips like a door knob or screw driver) go a bit faster to skim over the top. You’ll get it!

Just got back from Flinders Ranges last Friday. Had a blast. Via the dig tree, and Innamincka, down to Arkaroola, then down to Blinman for 4 days. Then back via Cameron Corner.

I have a mate who has in his stable both the Honda Rally and the CFMoto 450. He has allowed me to do quite a few kilometres on both. Tar and dirt. Without any hesitation I would go for the 450. Light, great comfort and just enough power to do everything!

Heading there soon for my first sand ride - did you air down the tyres on the 300 Rally? I am reading a lot of different things online. Thanks for posting these - it's great to see someone else ride a place to gain some confidence before going myself.

Hi Rem just watch you last vid and you mentioned Flinders ranges we have done the flinders twice now and love it so much we will be doing it again soon. You can't go wrong what an amazing place omg it's brilliant you have the two big loops with Razorback lookout on the southern loop. Also skytrek and most take the easy last section. We also did the copper mine nuccaleena easy at the start the last two hundred meters just a small challenge not that bad. So do it it's worth it we did it on our tigers would have been easier on a smaller bike. Cheers Ray Laura. Subscribers 😊

I'm still amazed your Mum is still riding the 690. Hope you don't mind if I get a bit crude & say, "She has b....", Is that the model that has the twin harmonic balancers ? Did you air down for the sand ? I know all too well back problems, they have plagued me for the last 25 years. Bush walking up & down gullies, or more specifically uneven tracks helped me so much. Some great aerial footage, stunning.👍 Ah, interesting you mention the CFMoto, it's actually heaver than the 690, but seat height will make a big difference. I just acquired a Himalayan 450 for long trips. It too, has a lower seat than my KLX400e, but horses for courses, I did consider the CFMOTO. And it's smooth for long rides. Your bike, setup right, is perfect for a lighter rider, yes it would benefit from a few extra hp.

You need to stand on the pegs when you are off road. Stop sitting on the seat!!

Do you mean stand for sand riding or are you actually saying they should stand for all off-road riding? Standing, correct posture, weight over rear tyre is effective for soft sand riding. If you meant they should stand anytime off-road that is a myth pushed by people who don’t actually know how to ride off-road. Why do you have to arbitrarily stand the entire time you are off-road? The hardest, by way of technical skill involved form of off-road riding is Enduro. Look at how much time they spend sitting. There are times when standing is advantageous. Most of the time for the type of terrain Adv riders are negotiating its not required.

You won't go wrong with the cf moto . I have a crf 300l which I still love too ride but I got the cf moto about 5 weeks ago and can't keep off it. Just brilliant
