The period after getting baptised can sometimes be very difficult. I experienced this too, and my Pastor let me know that it’s just the enemy attacking you. Keep pressing on, you’ve got this! May God’s grace empower you❤️🤍

It's been almost a year since Jesus came to me, led me to salvation, and you guys. I was struggling with friendships, betrayals, chaos, a toxic relationship, and losing my innocence. God has been very patient with me because I've had many slip-ups like most of us do, especially at the beginning of my relationship with him. He brought me a best friend in my lowest time a few months ago (during summer) and she has been the greatest blessing of my life. I prayed for a friendship like yours and I'm so grateful. I regret not welcoming her at first but she has taught me so much. Especially with womanly love, my mom was very emotionally abusive and my sister was as well. Never had a genuine feminine love experience. I love her. I hope I learn through you guys how to nourish it more. God bless you GGB❤

"Without a fear of God, it is easy to backslide." I'm not even halfway through watching and man... that one hit home. I'm not proud of how much I've backslid on my walk with Jesus throughout my life, but I can say for sure that I wasn't fearing/respecting Him in any of those times. The minute we let our hearts wander away from believing that God is the ultimate authority over our lives, the enemy gets a foothold. This is exactly what happened between Eve and the serpent in the garden. We get all fussy over what Adam and Eve did to bring sin into the world, but that's exactly what we are doing everytime we backslide. It breaks God's heart.💔 Thank you for bringing the Truth of the Word, ladies!! It is reaching so many lives for the kingdom of God!

Wow! I love this! You girls are calling me (us) into such purity and to stop backsliding in such a powerful way - by sharing your honest stories of struggles you've actually had!! This really makes me want to stay right with God! And you do it with such honesty and also with do much grace too!! When Ari was talking about how she's seen others who aren't living life to please God and yet seem to be living life so easily and carefree - I've been there and have seen and thought that too - out truly is Psalm 73 experience! I am so honored and so thankful to be able to call you two my sisters! Thank you so much for all, all that you do - but definitely most importantly for truly allowing yourselves ample time to bask in Jesus's live for you and enter into his Rest which he do generously provides for all who are willing to enter into him and rest! I love this, the past 3 weeks I just haven't been reading and studying the bible as much as I usually would, not giving God the time I usually would, and it has a lot to do with my work stress and the time I work (US hours in SAST). So it got tough, really actively tried to make a change this week and just as I wanted to play some gospel, this podcast topic popped up. I think its quite normal sometimes when life, lifes. As long as we allow God to catch us out and bring us back I believe his arms are always open. And in that I think we do grow more conscious and grow more spiritually because we have learned how to listen to God's voice when we slack and are able to do something about it, and this podcast took that growth further and gave me more contextual knowledge on this topic.

The lecture part about the honeymoon season not lasting for ever is so true! Then you have to actively seek God's face in order to dwell in His presence and having constant reassurance through the Holy Spirit is really where we notice that faith without works to at least seek first the kingdom will come to being dead. You’re so right about community. It doesn’t matter how much you know about the lord and how close you’ve gotten to him. Anyone can fall and backslide. That’s definitely been me because I don’t go to church as often as I used to. I haven’t been spending time with my Christian friends. As much. For some reason in this season I’ve been wanting to be alone. I’ve been praying more, but by being alone for too long you don’t have accountability. So I’ve been backsliding a lot. But I’ve also been healing slowly but surely with my alone time with Jesus as well. But you know what? No matter what, God never stops loving you. He loved you when you were wild and crazy. He loved you when you came to him, giving him everything. And he loved you when you “backslid”, and went crazy and wild again. He loves you so much and always will. It’s why he calls us back to him in love after we “cheat on him” essentially. We’re too naive to see that we are living our absolute peak when we are living for God. It often looks like we’re missing out or living for God for nothing, but in reality without him we look like everybody else and lose what makes us special; what makes us different from everybody else. The reason why Girls Gone Bible blew up was because how much you’ll stood out. From non-Christians AND Christians. For non-Christians because they’re seeing two Hollywood actors and absolutely gorgeous girls who instead of acting like all the others (who all look the same to people), are sacrificing literally everything for God and creating a platform teaching people about God. This is so rare and unusual to see. For Christians because you’re breaking the safe, superficial norms that so many Christian platforms suffer. Many Christian influencers are people who have been a part of that community their whole lives. It’s what they’ve been surrounded by. Many of them haven’t taken it to the next level to seek Jesus in a much more intimate and painful way. But GGB is so raw, honest, real, and isn’t afraid to talk about things that I rarely hear most other Christian influencers talk about. Too many Christians are afraid of being judged and disapproved by “the Christian community”. So many Christians only talk about “safe” topics, giving “safe” and superficial messages. True love hurts. It’s scary. There’s the honey moon phase and then theres the phase where you have to start being more proactive and intentional to keep love alive. Love is an action. And by learning to keep loving, honoring, and to keep growing with God, you’re also learning to do the same for your future spouse. ❤

I relate to this so much, I've always been a Christian but God "re-saved" me or however you'd say it in 2020. Up until last year, I hadn't really been backsliding and even the smallest choices to do so have had a huge negative impact. It's why I've walked away from church again honestly. Thank you for this!
