Lol...u said this is not yaki or brazilian! The nerve of someone to suggest your hair is relaxed just from stretching!! Don't even worry about those negative naysayers. Your hair is beautiful, healthy, and long just like your girls. When you properly care for your hair, it shows! Love all of the educational videos!!! :)

I have tried your method on my daughter's hair and after threading once her hair was amazingly stretched! Thank you for your honest approach and showing your hair in its tightly coiled state...You are better than me, because my hair literally shrinks up and goes on strike if I don't immediately style after washing :-)

I absolutely love the african threading technique; however, I find my hair likes to bond with the thread. Instead of using the thread I use the plastic lacing instead. It's not as bendable as the thread for tucking my hair under my scarves; but, I like it better. Thanks for your video.
@GirlsLoveYourCurls
@GirlsLoveYourCurls 10 жыл бұрын

What is plastic lacing?
@CindyAlexius
@CindyAlexius 10 жыл бұрын
Sorry I missed your response. It's a roll of thin stringlike plastic kids use to make bracelets. I was watching a video from World of Braiding and Joyce used it. I went to Michaels (an arts and crafts store since I'm not sure if you're in the US) and purchased a roll for $3. Both weave thread and the plastic lacing have their positives and negatives; however, I wish I could use the weave thread since the braids are easier to manipulate after insertion. The braids are more stiff with the plastic; but, I retain moisture since the plastic doesn't absorb the products I put into my hair.
