I love my SAR9. I have the SAR9T too. One has a thumb safety (SAR9) and the "T" model does not. Can't beat it for the price either. I paid $249.99 from PSA two weeks ago.

Good stuff. I admire Girsan in its handgun selection, my first was the MC28. Shoots fine and reliable for the money you spend. But I’m beginning to consider trading it toward the MC regard instead.

Great great video! Keep them coming, I'm debating on buying the SAR9. The MC28 is a great weapon and the recoil on that gun is almost non-existent it's a smooth shooter I brought mine used for $200.

The MC-28 can use CZ75 magazines but only after they are modified slightly, the bottom of the mag catch slot needs widened slightly for the magazine to lock in.

@@doitriteak Another option is removing the mag catch and taking a fraction of an inch off the bottom which will allow the MC28 to use both the OEM mag or unmodified CZ mags. Although going this way means the mag catch is no longer reversible.

For those who don't know Galloway precision has a trigger upgrade and a +3 magazine baseplate for the Sar 9 and freedom Smith also has a trigger upgrade for the Sar 9 and finding a holster for it OWB or IWB should not be a problem crossbreed fobus NSR tactical to name a few mine has 700 round through it with not one malfunction using 115 grain brass federal target ammo and it is fun to shoot and accurate for a gun that costed 330 dollars out the door price the trigger is not quite as good as my Walther PPQ but it handles and shoots and is just as accurate and that's nit picking the trigger it's really pretty good the Galloway trigger upgrade is only 22 dollars that should make in PPQ good maybe slightly better

The Girsan just "looks" like a $199 pistol. The SAR9 looks like a much more expensive pistol, even though it really isn't.

Agree, the Girsan MC 28 does look like it's very "budget" built. These MC 28's are very popular here in South Africa as it's considered the "poor man's M&P 9". But they are very robust, seen some of these as rental pistols at the one shooting range here with well over 20 k rounds through them still running fine. Can't really say much about the SAR 9 as we only have the SAR BP 9's available in our country and they are not so popular as they are not +P rated meaning folks are not too keen on them as the person who buys such a budget pistol buys one for primarily self defense.

I was about to ask the same question, I don't have a one but the more I see it the more I want it, I don't own any Glocks because I hate the grips and that's always bummed me out because I was that rugged reliability. The Sar 9 appears to have all the best parts of the Glock with a better trigger, lower bore axis if I'm not mistaken mixed in with some sweet H&K ergonomics. I've heard it has good accuracy as well. It is honestly sounding like it might be one of the best guns on the market given the fact that it is half the price of its competitors. I would love to see a SAR 10mm, with as robust as these, are a 10m would be great.

updated mc28 triggers are about 4 1/2 lbs, the reset is audible, to be fair i have the SAT version

I have the sar 9 , it's better than than an glock I've ever shot . Much better grip and trigger than the glock .I would never pay full price for a glock because they are way over priced. Maybe I would buy a used glock if it was in good shape,to use as a tackle box gun.
